Instead of Bowing in front of these players, they should be banned for life and send new players to Olympics as in any case they are not going to win you a medal.
Now on abolish post of selectors. Player's will choose their team in every game which will be endorsed by Sports minisier,sorry then code of conduct of olympics will be violated,endorsement can be done by a ABCD sports body in a press conference.(May be from Sports minister's office)
forget about bhupathi..hes got the charming lara dutta for company..now leander looks like getting sania,which is why he should accept AITA formula..the only loser is neither leander nor hesh but shoaib malik..
If he has pride, he will withdraw. How can anyone force top ranked player to play with a much much junior player? And making him play in mixed doubles with partner of choice is no compensation. Paes has been given a raw deal as Indian tennis icon and its time for him to retire from representing India which he has done with great fervour till now in Davis cups.
Going by the various reports on TV channels , it looks like the issue has been vitiated by over anxious and selfish fathers. Let the players sort it out between themselves rather than bringing in self serving fathers into the picture. Players can question AITA and not the fathers.
As we already knw other teams like archery and hockey, boxing, already had tuff times with the selection commities and these govt morons... Hope they do not get such bad times and get atleast couple of golds this olympics. They are the real medal hopes and not the tennis team

Bhupathi never said even one thing about that. Paes arrogance is all over youtube. He acts like a jerk on and may be off the court. That is the reason they don't play with him. On youtube look for Robert Kendrick Leander Paes WTT . And then look for Feliciano Lopez and Juan Monaco Smackdown

However, since you have expressed your unwillingness to abide by our decision on the composition of the team, we are constrained to drop you from the team. Why Paes? Why not Mahesh & Rohan? Paes did nothing and didn't come in public to reject playing. It was these 2 gadheras who created all these fuss. For them nation comes last. First is there EGO. Paes should return back without any grudges. Playing with weaker partner will anyways bring his downfall.
AITA knew fully well from a long time the difference between various players and with Paes. They could have had a closed door discussions among players before announcing the Team instead of allowing this sort of street fight and mud slinging. We have very few good tennis players and this exercise should not have been difficult for AITA
