You are not making sense. They selected the best pair to represent the country based on experience. It seems mahes buphathi has shown he has a lot of growing up to do.

wrong, as per your thoughts they may have selected the best individual players (if at all), but not the best pair...try to understand singles and doubles are two different games !!!

...very valid points, but officials are not accountable in the country. So whom to suspend? Amazed to see all the dumbos who comment that Mah/Pae should play together... 1st, we are talking about doubles...a game where partnering is important. 2nd, they are no match today to the younger turks...remember their match against Federer/Tipservic...they were just blown away.

AITA is at its fault.. I really dont care who is jealous, egoistic, head-weighted, selfish etc etc ...All I need to know is this:
1. If AITA was so adomant in sending the best possible pair of Lee-Hesh to olympics, then why the hell did they allow them to spilt 10 months back and encourage Hesh-Bopanna to particpate in grand slams ??? This either means, the administrators dont have country's interest or dont know what professionalism is.
2. Leander might be the best player we have in India and that doesn't mean AITA can keep lobbying for this guy when a well set team of Bopanna-Hesh has been playing really well. Their chemistry too works big time and they might pull an extra inch to display theri best efforts at olympics, should be get in. Why is AITA so stubborn in not understanding this fact.
3. Sports ministry is asking players to put nation first and personal ego's next ...in that case, when India's all-time greatest sportsman Vishy Anand time and again doesn't show interest to play for India in the olympiad, where were these officials then?
The whole drama enacted by AITA is akin to a talent Engg student being forced to take a tough biology exam, without his interests.
Bottom Line: Everyone says Bopaana-Hesh chances of a podium finish is less than 10%, but what they fail to see is that Lee-Hesh pair chances are 0%. Now choose the best yourself. AITA...Grow UP!!!
If they disagree to play for the country then please suspend Bhupathi & Rohan Bopanna for 1 year. They must refund USD 72000 they have taken from Sports Ministry for last 1 year for the preparation of Olympics 2012.
I dont know why the Sports Ministry & AITA is not taking any disciplinary action against the Bhupati Bopanna . These two fellows are getting trained by our tax money and they are refusing to play for us ( National interest ) . At least we were hoping to get medals in Tennis & Badmintion , one has dried out . So after Cricket Tennis has become the talk of the town ................
