wrong selection
by biswanath roy on Jun 16, 2012 12:46 PM

i think the selection of paes-bhupathi pair to represent india, in the mens doubles is not correct,as the players view should have been taken by AILTA. bhupathi-bopanna have been pairing and playing well for quite some time, whereas paes is having foreign partners and changing them frequently, which only means that paes has some problem with his partners. moreover bhupathi-sania won the french open 2012, so this pairing should be continued for london.

Paes is always patriatic and better than Mahesh
by jet on Jun 15, 2012 08:57 PM  | Hide replies

Paes is always better and more patriatic than Mahesh who is is egoistic and commercial guy. Paes has been leading India in davis cup since 2 decads and his win % in singles is more then 60%. Most Professional players dont care about Davis cup but paes is always there for India. Mahesh is jealous of the people's love for Paes and his ego and jealous is the reason behind his split with him.

What are you? an expert in relationships. Only those two will know what went wrong between them. Probably, they will either talk about it or write in a book, when they retire. They are world class professionals. They earned it, if they choose not to play with each others. It is their call. Stop throwing cheap shots at them with your limited intelligence. Grow up!

Brain should have used when one person not interested to play. We can't win if we pair them. Paes is playing as Politician. Atleast now government should come and stop this nonsense created by Paes and AITA

What is the point of forcing them to play if they are not interested? Are they going to win this way? No they are going to win first few easy rounds and then will loose. I am 100% sure they will win no medal this way. You cannot force chemistry between two.

Way to go!!!!

I think the associations interest is to get a medal. Players like it or not---- OLympics is not a holiday---- I guess Paes and Bhupathi are mature enough to understand that and will do their best to get India on the medal sheet. This is probably their last chance to win an Olympic gold so good luck lee-hesh!!!!

Unfortunately in doubles, chemistry and team work key. If someone doesnt want to play,AITA should respect it. Also, what is teh point of sneding only one team when theer is room for two. Stupid AITA idiots

Official attitude !
by Prabhakar KRISHNA on Jun 15, 2012 06:39 PM  | Hide replies

This episode clearly shows why our games like Tennis Hockey chess etc suffer because of the dictatorial attitude of the official. If you realyy want to see the discrimination - than COMPARE the accomodation provided ( except cricket) to the officials and players !!

Boss---- to be recognised and facilities to follow in a country where there nothing is considered better than cricket---show some results. Ask Paes when he started off where was the Tennis recognition in india? A few results on his side and today he owns a house in FLorida. Yes i do agree treatment for other sports is lacking but get a few results then the rewards will follow. Everything does not come on a platter my friend.
