Nadal for the win and might go on a roll
by Mephistophilus on Jun 10, 2012 05:57 PM  | Hide replies

Nadal will win based on many factors. Other reasonable conclusion will be that this win will probably be the proverbial first of the last set of straws on camels back for Djokovic and Federer.

Hence there is a great chance for Nadal and other top players (Murray etal) to have a go at the remaining 2 GS's in this year.

Yeaterday, when the play was called off, Djokovic wasrunning away with the match.. Rafa got a lucky break. It is difficult for Rafa in a fivesetter.
Now, as the match ressumes after night's break, Rafa will be fresh & may win.
But, you can't expect Rafa to trouble these players in other slams !!
Djokovic is doing something which Mconroe, Borg, Lendle could not do. I dont this Rafa can ever do this.
What arefreshing change from Monotonous IPL
Lets see.....

My call is Novak Djokovic. Let him create a history after 43 years in 21st Century when the great Rod Lever won 4 GS in a row twice last in 1969.

My call is Novak Djokovic. He will crown 4 GS in a row after 43 years on Friday's final showdown. I wish it will happen after Rod Lever in 1969.

Nadal is the only player

in the history of tennis to lose three straight finals of a Grand Slam. Of course it was not on red clay and Nadal is a red clay specialist. Nadal falters on other surfaces. Nadal is the favorite to win the french open. I don't think Nadal wants to further embarass himself and his fans by losing the fourth time and that too on his favorite red clay. Novak is not playing his best tennis at the French open, I can see Nadal winning this one.

He has only 1 aus open, 1 us open and 2 wimbledon compared to 6 french open. don't you see the imbalance. and this imbalance is there with other titles nadal has won not just the slams. explain to me why nadal hasn't won a single non-clay title since the end of 2010. its crystal clear nadal is red clay specialist. he fails on other surfaces. why do you think nadal lost his no.2 ranking to federer, because he failed to win on other surfaces. winning just on red clay is not enough to be no.1. if nadal loses the french open, he will lose his ranking once again to federer. its just shows why winning on other surfaces is as much important as red clay. and nadal has failed to win other than red clay.

federer has only one french. He is not comfortable on claycourts as much as hard courts...
By the way, FYI, grass courts are fastest of all courts and they still are..

just because he became the youngest does not mean he is an all court player. how many titles does nadal have at austrailian open 1. he even trails novak who has 3 already. how many does he have at wimbeldon, only 2. if nadal fans want to compare him to the greats, its nothing compared to federer or pete. how many he has at us open, only 1. novak already has 1. nadal has 6 french open. don't you see the imbalance. even if you do not consider the slams, he has more red clay titles than anything else. his success on other surfaces is very limited. explain to me why nadal hasn't won a single non-clay title since the end of 2010. its crystal clear nadal is red clay specialist. he fails on other surfaces. why do you think nadal lost his no.2 ranking to federer, because he failed to win on other surfaces. winning just on red clay is not enough to be no.1. if nadal loses the french open, he will lose his ranking once again to federer. its just shows why winning on other surfaces is as much important as red clay. and nadal has failed to win other than red clay.

Djokovic is in peak form of his career. It's good he won against Federer, now we can see good contest in final. I wanted to see Nadal vs Federer in semifinal but unfortunately it's not happening because of draw. As far as Federer is concerned he is doing well and meeting the expectations.

It is and... It IS NOT .......................
by Kd Narang on Jun 10, 2012 11:23 AM

Djoko chasing history is a Fact.
Four IN ROW will be great achievement.
BUT... This is what we may call it
" - Horizontal Four".
Federer has FIVE Wimbledon IN ROW and Again, FIVE U S Open IN ROW( Vertical )
"Vertical" OR " Horizontal" BOTH "IN -ROW" achievement SHOULD BE Treated AT PAR.
What Rod Laver and Don Budge have done in past IS GREAT BUT NOT Greatest, since we already have " Five-In -Row" done Twice by Federer as aan answer...
....more over, same record was chased by Nadal himself at 2011 Australian open, and Federer at 2006-2007 French Open,
Best luck to BOTH players.
