some one should teach you how to watch tennis, the finer points of the game. for the record, bhupathi has won many titles partnering many other female tennis players..with leander they once ruled the world..

IF you look at other tennis players you will find there are many such players who only shine as doubles matches be it mixed or otherwise.

sania was always a highly over-rated singles player. She looks little better than a loser.

they wud have got that dias, if they wud have stuck together and won 10-15 GS titles together. Which they were capable off. But they split on ego problems and went on winning with different partners. the psychological impact on indian masses is different.

Bah, Leander & Mahesh are great Indian players but u cannot compare them to Sachin or Anand.

Both Sachin and Anand are at the top of their respective sports while leander and Mahesh, though they have sinificant achievements, are nowhere near the top of international tennis. there was atime when they threatened to do so when they were partners in men's doubles and ranked number 1 for afew months, but they quickly lost it.

hard court tennis is a different type of ball game. only the fittest play this game. chess is an indoor game where as cricket is not played continuously, ie. after each ball is bowled you get a break..unlike tennis..it is only played in some countries whereas tennis is played in almost countries which makes the competition tough..

there is no logic in your argument. If in cricket you get a break after every ball bowled, what about tennis? dont you get a break after every serve and after every 2 games ??? Tennis is an individual sport and cricket is a team game ..so there is no question of how many countries play what....between There were a few Indian players who played tennis better that this dua or Lee and Hesh. Ramanathan Krishan, Ramesh Krishnan, Vijay Amritaraj were all ranked at 20s during their peak times..(in fact ramanathan krishan was unfficially ranked no2 in 1960) ...even those players can't be compared to sachin and anand who are definte world number 1 in their sport.

ABC: MY point is : tennis requires much more stamina than cricket, (no wonder Indians cannot measure upto it)it is olympic sport, apart from the grand slams there is an truly international davis up (where all countries participate) and fed cup..there many tournaments in tennis whereas cricket is played in only few nations..and not an olympic sport..so this no.1 spot is just cosmetic...as for chess it is a indoor game, and for the record how many times Anand (although no.1 now)beat kasparov in world championship and won the title?
