Federer plays Djoker!!!
by Seabiscuit on Jun 06, 2012 10:43 AM

It's always great for the sport when heavy weights go against one another. And this contest is no less. For an interesting final, will root for djoker to win. But as a hardcore fed fan, want federer to go the final to play the BULL. BULL might win regardless.

Federer & Djocovic Proved that they are GREATS.....

In both of the matches, both players where done & out. But it was the quality of these players, that they raise their game when needed. No other players in the Current Circuit except Nadal would ve won from this point. Thats y these 3 are considered as the best players........

How many times can Fed go on to win at the unfair advantage of the discomfort of the other player?? I bet that even a Ferrer would have beaten Federer yday. Playing on the mercy of other players loss of fitness rather than outhitting and outright winning the match is s sure sign that Federer will suffer going forward.

Even though he won the QF It is now loud and clear that Federer's time is up as a GS contender, if a player ranked 9th can outhit him.

What do you suggest? Should Federer have resigned the match the moment he came to know of Del Potro's discomfort?

Keepping Fit itself is a winner. On that aspect Fedex is a champion.
With respect to Del Patro, this is just a repeat of French Open QFinal couple of years back, where he was up 2 sets, then he lost it.. These top 3, Nadal, Fedex and Djoker has amazing mental and physical stamina.

Surely last couple of years Fedex is not the same. He lost his pace and cannot sustain 5 sets, he still beating Djoker and Nadal in ATP World Tours, but not in a 5 setter GSlam.

a Fed fan!

"Novak Djokovic or Jo-Wilfried Tsonga for a place in Sunday's final".

What about "King of Clay"...

Sorry,

With Rome Master,

he has "become" God of Clay...

he's not longer "king".

Yeah!, Borg can be called "King of Clay"!!

Tsonga and Del Potro
by Hari on Jun 06, 2012 09:08 AM  | Hide replies

It is saddening to note that Fed and Djokovic werent deserving winners of the matches. Delpo out clearly was better that Fed, so was Tsonga to Djoker.

Tsonga should have won the match after having upperhand for 3 sets. I watched with despair how Tsonga was outmaneuvered and outguessed at net in second match point , as had happened multiple times when Djokovic correctly guessed countless dropshots and net volleys to his advantage. Had only Tsonga volleyed to left, he would have won the 4th set 6-4!!!

Tsonga was better in serve, rallies and retrieving and therefore should have won.
Same goes to Delpo, and his knee discomfort in 3rd set worked to Fed advantage(Delpo won only 6 points to Feds 24 - which points something is very wrong).
But as the case stands Fed and Djokovic somehow won, I am miffed whenever a valiant effort goes in vain specially from two of my favorite players, Tsonga and Delpo.

WHO IS THE BEST ON CLAY
by Sashi Nair on Jun 06, 2012 08:33 AM  | Hide replies

Well,if Nadal & Djokovic are to play the finals, its difficult to beat the "King of clay",ie, Nadal.Djokovic has it in him to take the match to its very end, however,Nadal will call the shots due to his consistency. If this was not to happen, the dark horse is the great Federer, now in the twilight of his career. He sure is there to show the world how a grand slam is to be won through sheer artistery.

GREAT COMEBACK FOR ROGER AND NOVAK
by HUSSAIN MITHANI on Jun 06, 2012 07:20 AM  | Hide replies

despite being down 2 sets, Roger Federer did not give up and came roaring back to win the match. Federer even at the age of 30 has what it takes to win matches. Delpotro did well in the first two sets but federer did not give up. Federer did not have most favorable draw unlike nadal who has yet to face a Top ten player. and now federer is once again in the semifinal of a grandslam. Federer just amazes everyone with his hunger and confidence to go further in tournaments and win titles. Now he is gonna face Novak who himself was four match points before winning in five sets. Tsonga gave it all but Novak is a fighter and somehow managed to survive and win. That's two five sets matches for Novak in a row. Its clear he does not play his best on clay. The best tennis player of all time will face the No.1 player in the world. Its going to be another classic semifinal between Roger and Novak just like last year. GO FEDERER.
