the whole of swimming event is great..yesterday it was great 17yr old missy franklin won gold for US, but the best part was lithuania won its first medal, a Gold from just a 15 yr old girl! ...she was shocked as were everyone...(amanda beard of usa had also won gold for US when she was mere 14/15)

let him be..but there are many out there to watch (last night france too claimed its 3 gold, so far all 3 from swimming), even though in the US media circles it's all phelps vs lochte, but i don't live in the US, thank you very much, plus i love the whole event.

taklu: yes i agree, there r many swimmers and talented athletes out there whose performances r worth watching.
also some new faces might have cropped up in swimming as well but let me tell u, world of swimming is not gonna see another Phelps for an eon of time. I am sure he will surpass the record of the soviet gymnast for max medals and go down in history as the greatest olympian ever.

yes yes i get what your saying ...but all i'm trying to say is í don't watch the games for one or two people i watched the entire swimming scheduled events last night, and they were thrilling. imagine a 15 yr old girl winning the breastroke. btw, i did watch all phelps events in 2008 , and was even rooting for him.
