Pele,Bradman and Dhyanchand cannot be compared with these modern players because those days certain countries had monopoly over certain sports. There was no tough global competition like today.
Today players win gold over bronze in difference of fraction of a point.

No shooter in Olympic history has ever win the gold in two consecutive olympics till date. so no big deal if he did not win but he is still young can try in next.

it's extremely difficult already to finish in the top 8 and anything can happen on that given day considering the close competition, even zhu qinan the favorite to win the event could not qualify. ..and Bindra has given a Gold! in this event last oly, it's truly a commendable feat to hold your nerve till the last shot.

true man... may be he was not prepared fully for gold..or he took the competition lightly... someone else was preparing extremely hard in the world and he was not... the bus is missed this time... hope he has learned something from this experience and will get GOLD next time... hope for the best
100 crore Indians just can't have 10 gold medals and offering excuse of best(worst) performance in lieu of medals is the most tragic episode creating dramatic humour.
The nation of 100 crore cannot get 10 Gold medals is a shameful incident and finding an excuse of best performance in lieu of medals is a shameless excuse.

It is very easy to point fingers at others but difficult put own self in the same situation as the sports persons are going through. In India Politics and business are two good careers which give good money unlike sports.
Why should you even talk about shame Bindra ? YOU ARE THE ONLY ONE IN THE HISTORY OF INDIAN OLYMPICS TO HAVE BROUGHT US A GOLD.You will be always always superhero. You are Front Page Cover of our Olympics success story mini book. Three Cheers to you.
