I think more than the technique she could not hold her nerve..as it is its pretty intimidating to play the best in your opening round and our Indian girl stumbled big time. Live and learn, you will get you chance again!!

It is not the number of people that counts. Go around and see how many school kids were actually ALLOWED to play games by their parents?Even when they allowed what are the facilities available at the schools? To day in AP where I live more than 50 lac children who study in private/corporate schools. More than 50% of these schools run in apartments or shopping malls in busiest of the areas where place is so scarce even for parking for get having playgrounds. In this scenario how we expect a child to grow in a player with exceptional ability. More over corporate greed ensured no other sport than cricket is encouraged. There is but one solution .Make sports compulsory and enforce the rule strictly.Ensure sports meets of schools at all levels mandatory to all schools.Establish at least one sports college for each state and make doubly sure only eligible are admitted. This may reap benefits over a period of time say 15-20 years. Above all please give Job to each winner in national level championships so they can earn a living and concentrate on their skills. It is a small price to be paid for a country whose pride is being beaten for decades.
This is where Character of a sportperson comes into play. Stuart Broad was hit six sixes in an over by yuvi, but he has bounced back, to be one of the top allrounders in his country. So Garima, should show her character now. The only way she can now go is "UP, UP n UP"
