Its job of atheletes
by srikant Iyer on Jul 29, 2012 04:13 PM  | Hide replies

Its the job of Indian atheletes to win medals just like Bindra,Bijender,Sushil won last year.I don't blame the Govt. for lack of medals in Olympics.Although it can be said there is some amount of corruption. The sportsmen need to take the responsibility & train hard and at the same time enjoy the sport and not take unnecessary pressure. Its such shocking to see only one swimmer competing from a population of 1.25 billion people. A large country like India should at least bring 8 to 10 gold medals if not more.winning just a couple of golds is just winning nothing.

All media hype

India winning multiple golds in CWG does not mean that they will in Olympics also. CWG has some 2 or 3 top sporting countries and also many Olympians from these countries stay away from CWG.
CWG is not a barometer for Olympic success.

If India gets 5 medals in all, it will be a great success like climbing Mt. Everest.

yes but often the difference between winning and losing is just a little..you have to have that spirit and mental fortitude to go past. men's event too we lost in tiebreak..plus now in shooting heena did well, but still finished 12 , just 3 points behind the 8th placed shooter (top 8 qualify)
