Expect

What else did you expect from these Indian "athletes"?

We Indians only care about who plays cricket or makes more money.

Sports are look down on like something only the lumpen and the unemployable participate in.

Nobody is going to qualify since all of these Indian "athletes" have been sent there for a vacation because they know someone important in the Cong party.

This is the grand total of Cong party's 50 odd years of rule.

Olympic Medals
by DilipVishnu maydeo on Jul 28, 2012 06:16 PM

Competition events can be divided into team and nonteam.Non team are a metric to individual resources and capabilities which are partly inherited and partly developed by training.
Success in individual events is the merit of the individual first and then the nation.Individual and/or team events are a pointer to nations health and human resource capabilities.Infrastructure support needs in individual events are minimal however in team events infrastructure needs are maximum in terms of resources, research & development, training, organisation and elite selection procedure .Olympics are a test not of a few people who participate or who attend on them.It is a test of the nations overall capaility just like that in war which usually is an unplanned eventuality.Olympics are a planned event and any dismal outcome indicates that our society needs to be restructured. If we do badly at London, time is that we seriously dismantle the countrys fedral structure and seek total state autonomy.I am sure Gujarat can take the lead with Mody at helm. Why Gujarat ,because it has minimal participation in Physical Sports till date although Vallabhbhai Patel was a strong contender of Physical Culture in Pre and immediate post independance years .Some time I am forced to think that we are an inferior race,so we cover up with quantity as we cant match quality with Blacks or Whites or Mongol race !!
