India does have tremendous pool of youngsters who could bring Medals to the country. What we need is sponsorship. I think, if the government should unable to sponsor all the disciplines, they should atleast tax 1 or 2% of the cash balance BCCI. We will send our sportsperson for all the disciplines. Further before the commencement of Olympics, the sports ministry should look for sponsorship of PSUs, large corporates to adopt each discipline and help our sports persons. This would have given more chances of getting more medals. Well the sportsministry atleast do for the next olympics
It may seem churlish when I say it,but Malleswari's coach said that the medal was won dubiously and doping was a distinct possibility.His inneundo was made after his relations with Malleswari soured.He said it after the lifter's flop show in the next olympics (when Malleswari did not attempt to lift at all).There were the usual denials and recriminations and the truth never came out.
