Even you have not one any big medal for India except a bronze in 2003 in Paris. How can you discourage others like this. They are the best bet from India. Atleast encourage them how you were expecting people to encourage you.

it was same with her

She may be right. But it was the same situation when she was participating in olympics. Her best performance was not near to bronze medal.

This was not expected of you. You are selfish. I Have a feeling that India will get a medal in athletics this time. You cannot discourge before olympics. What has she done in olympics. She cant even complete the jump. All foul jumps. Shame.

She is the one of the selfish Athelete India produced ever. she hanged on her bronze medal attempt in the world athelete championships. Earlier, in an interview with Harsha Bogle (ESPN) she said in the practice session she used to jumb above 7.20 meters regularly etc etc. what happened after that in the Olympics? she intentionally fouled all her attempts... she is de-moraling other athelete now. becoz she want her name in the world as only medal winner for India.

Agreed. Our athletes are not upto the mark of international players but don't dicourage them before going to be in the race. Shame Anju. This is not expected from you.

You should not confuse Reality with Discouragement.

Anju is absolutely right. None of the athletes will get even a bronze medal, let alone the silver or gold. The discus thrower lives in the USA. For all his training he will not succeed. His record of 66.28 meters is well outside the medal standings. He would have never even qualified to represent the USA, and that's why he chose to represent India.

olympics
by sameer naik on Jul 23, 2012 07:24 PM

yes that our strategy.
its like playing MATKA number. we sent 81 people to olympics. its like betting all 81 numbers out of 100. we know that only 1 lucky number will be drawn in the end. same way only one medal winner will come to home.
