Playin' with 8 Countries,

5 Setters,

Both Singles & Doubles,

Reach Semis... Win Finals...

A MURDER...
True Test of Potency like Test Matches

You can win a 17 Grand Slams,
with or without Title Holders

But winning a Davis Cup, is a real torture!

First Round Exit
by Srini Krish on Jul 15, 2012 12:35 PM

Mr Bhupathi, it is assured first or second round exit. I dont expect u guys to beat Fedex & Wawrinka or Nadal/Spain team combination..
You guys win double GS becos these guys dont plays Doubles or Mixed.....
Even if these guys play against Williams Sister, you will miserably... So please evaluate yourself before creating so much hype and drama

In singles... the Wimbledon title is supreme.
by NashikMarathi on Jul 15, 2012 09:25 AM

Anybody who thinks an Olympic gold medal over best of three matches (except probably the final) matches the best of five Wimbledon singles title.....

Olympics in tennis can never match the status of Wimbledon - at least for singles. Just like Olympic soccer even without the under-23 rule can never match the status of the World cup.

Doubles is a different matter.

... because in case of Olympic games, you get one chance in four years whereas you get four grand slams to play in one year.

Yes, that is why the self declared great (not best) doubles partners of Indian Tennis lost last Wimbledon (28 June - 8 July) miserably; say a worst defeat in 2nd round. Still, they will rise to the occasion in 2012 London Olympics and must win a Bronze if not Silver or Gold.......

Ask Federer if he will exchange one of his 7 Wimby titles for an Olympic gold medals if it is so obvious....

Singles is different from doubles.

What a patriot they are? We have not forgot the Hesh-Rohan episode after 16th June when AITA declared the doubles team. Both of them threatened to pull out of Olympics if they are not allowed to play doubles together in July-August 2012 London Olympics. They started mud-slinging and used political pressure on AITA to desert Lee. Maken-Krishna pulled the rag and compelled AITA to dump Lee and changed their stance in favour of 2 doubles team. Hesh-Mohan have blatantly violated all norms, discipline and model code and conduct. After showing the worst performance in last Wimbledon (28 June - 8 July) they thought it is wise now to keep quite and that is why they preferred to be more generous on patriotism agenda for the best interest of the country. They should be aware that the People of India are quite intelligent. They know very well that both Hesh-Rohan are always hunting for personal interest and shifting their goals as the situation demands.

Olympics singles medal does not rank above a Wimbledon singles title. No Wimbledon champ will give up his title for an Olympic gold medal.

Regarding doubles ... well.. doubles is different in status to singles at Wimby or other slams.
