Irony is since June 14 when she was remanded to judicial custody till date the state has not been able to complete a gender determination test as charges of rape have been levelled against. Everyone is innocent till proven guilty; but this athlete has been physically and mentally tortured and still there are no results. Its an absolute shame.
Her parents initially , herself then all the national and international screening medical authorities are responsible. But Pinki was dishonest -that is the root cause-and she had meddled in the life of another woman -thats it
Pinki Pramanik represented India in the Asian Games as a female. I am sure medical tests have been conducted at different levels. If not atleast in the International(Asian Games) level. If now some tests prove that SHE is actually a HE the there must have been something wrong at all these organizations - Sports Authorities, National Agencies, International Acencies, etc. All of them and their officials should come under scanner and punished? On the other hand, if She is SHE, the the people who brought those charges should be severely punished? And those who supported it and the Police too should come under scanner? But nothing will happen...This is the state of West Bengal...Here, in the rural anybody say anything and do anything.
the way this person who brought india an international gold medal in atheletics was treated, the way she was manhandled by policemen on her arrest was shocking. how could male police personnel even touch her? so long as she is not proven to be a male nobody has the right to outrage her modesty. just think what would have been the repurcussion had the person concerned had been a p t usha or a sania mirza?

What ever be the decision of Hon'ble Court, humiliation with a human being to be stopped immediately. Pinki is a human being. Treatment should be like that.

if thishad happened in Gujarat & Pinki was a muslim the heavens would have fallen & all the khagrass & the paid media would have brayed for Modi's blood .......but as she is a HINDU & it happened in bengal & as the didi is a upa ally nothing of the kind happened ,how did mms of her being subjected to a gender test made public who was responsible & what action is going to be taken for outraging the modesty of a woman the state under whose care she was must be help responsible & the top brass be sacked & put into jail & a hefty compensation be made to Pinki & the amount be recovered from the official concerned even by auctioning their properties this would act as a dterrent to other officials

Mate I am a man and I know that there are so many women who are smart intelligent and deserve the position they get to ....except for some who are expert in cooking for Indira Gandhi and climb steps of Raisina Hill

Where basic human rights are concerned, questioning the individual's absolute freedom to exercise their basic rights is itself wrong. The individual who has a right does not have any duty to be or to appear to be reasonable in using it, or to conform to so called social norms, except where it prevents equal use by others of their similar rights. Indians do not normally have this kind of respect for fellow Indians, because the concept of freedom of the individual is largely absent in Indian tradition. Freedom is a European concept that is sought to be imported into India.
Privacy should be respected even in a public place or discussion. It is irrelevant and not the business of others whether she is a male or female or other gender, whether their sexual preference is homo or hetero sexual, etc. Whatever be the case, it is their own business.

About women using their charms to rise up the corporate ladder is very common. But there are competent women also.
How this comment applies to Pinki I am at a loss to understand.
She is a fine athelete and it is nobodys business what her gender is except the sports federation since she has won medals in the female category. So they can enquire in a respectable fashion and not in a vulgar manner.
Every right thinking Indian should hang his head in shame. For most people this is a joke .Just imagine how the person may be feeling about themselves .It is enough to driver a person to suicide .

The case will have to be burried even if it is found that she is a man, can you you imagine taunts hurled to Indian players at the Olympics. There will be demands for stripping them all for gender testing which will mean that share prices of hair removal products will go through the roof hehehehehehehehe
