Fed versus Nadal versus Djoker
by ravi k on Jul 11, 2012 02:44 PM

Hello, all are great players but Nadal needs to fix his underwear issues, granted it is distracting his opponents but doesnt make for good viewing what with nadal pulling and twisting his undies every serve and volley.

A Flash in the Pan
by A Singh on Jul 11, 2012 11:34 AM

Great as Roger Federer is, his triumph at Wimbledon must be considered a flash in the pan. Even his most ardent supporters do not imagine that he will start winning like 2004-07, with players like Nadal, Djokovic and Murray at his heels.
His success is well deserved though. If he had missed Pete's record by just one week, it would have been gross injustice.

Roger Federer
by srinivas alwala on Jul 09, 2012 06:12 PM

I don't want to get into the debate. Just want to say only: Watching Federer is gratifying, Watching Nadal is tiring. Different types of players, both are great. All depends on who you enjoy watching.Statistics never proved anything right or wron, good or bad. They are mere numbers and history.

Age Gap

They bot hare great players and Roger is 4 years older to Rafa; so i feel they should not be compared now. Let us wait and see how Rafa will fare in the next 4 years.

Dear federer fans, yes we love federer and we are very very happy that he won the wimbledon. But you also gotta love the excuses of nadal's fans..Very very hilarious..I think they r doing their best in google to come up with statistics which favours nadal..Lets all laugh loud at all those looser fans..HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

They do not have to google to come up with statistics favoring Nadal. Only one statistic that Nadal has won twice as many matches against Federer as he has lost, is enough to establish Nadal's superiority over Federer. Nadal's contests against Federer on non-clay surfaces (except indoors) have been close, whereas his contests on clay have been no-contests.
Federer fans have no argument against this statistic. They try to balance this with adjectives like finesse, aesthetics, poetry in motion etc.

Nadal won his 7th French Open before Federer won his 7th Wimbledon.
If winning a tournament 7 times is a virtue, Nadal achieved it first.

oh you are also one of the loser nadal fans..Here the fact is ,nadal has won only 11 but federer has won 17 grandslams. Nadal was out in the second round ,but federer won the championship. We are talking only about that and nadal fans are saying federer is lucky to win this. If nadal cant beat rosol, foget about beating other good players. The important fact is nadal was too bad in this wimbledon and federer was too good in this wimbledon. If you dont accept with this, then you are also one of those loser nadal fans. Period.

Thanks for this very important piece of information. If you had not told me, I would have continued to believe Federer had won 11 and Nadal 17!
I am no astrologer, and cannot predict about future, but prima facie, it seems Nadal is going to end up with as many French Championship Crowns as Federer's count of all slams.
Difference in 17 and 11 is about the difference in their ages, and is not a big one.
With Djokovic slipping, Nadal can be expected to win titles @ 2 a year for next 3 years, and then @ 1 a year for next 5 years.

And more important: When is Federer going to start beating Nadal on a regular basis?

thanks for that over confidence like all the nadal fans have!! first ask nadal to get past the second round, then when he meets federer in the final, then federer will give his best in the final..But yeah first nadal has to get past the second round and should not get defeated by unknown players..And djokovic slipping?? he lost in the finals and semifinals in the previous two grandslams and won three before that..If that is called "slipping", then i really question your knowledge..And this is one more example of nadal fans being overconfident. When nadal loses he will "come back", and when others slipping they will never come back.(I will answer your every question without running away. Keep them coming:))

And yes i accept with one of your point.."nadal will win One GS a year for next 5 years" ..He will definitely do it in the french open. After all he is a clay court specialist:)(see i accept with facts about nadal)
