His only strategy is, play every shot and pray that the opponent misses his shot. have a look.. all his matches, no techniques nothing. only play every shot. he does have the stamina to play along

cruel rankings
by santosh deshpande on Jul 08, 2012 02:05 PM  | Hide replies

rankings require amendment coz it may be very cruel for Nadal relegated to 3rd in rankings despite winning French Open. D same way, Nadal had become no.1 after winning 1st Wimbledon. Rankings shud see d consistency over a period of time

rankings are based on points earned from each tournament. it may seem unfair, but one who is consistently winning will always find number 1. dont necessarily grand slams, but other atp tournaments too. best example, caroline wozniaci.
although nadal won french open, he did very bad in wimbledon, exit in 2nd round. secondly Novak beat him in every other final in the past year except french open. so naturally Novak better than nadal currently. as for federer, made to almost all semis and won madrid and indian wells and now if win wimbledon, then surely deserve Number 1. which he is of all time :)

The Ranking system is as scientific and fair as it can possibly be. Sometimes it yields absurd results, like making players like Caroline Wozniacki no. 1 without being able to win, but generally speaking, the system is very fair.
Rankings are only of academic interest, and are used to seed players before major tournaments. The players have to actually win the tournaments, and any absurdities in the ranking are corrected quickly enough.

Pressure? What pressure?
Put the pressure in a pressure cooker, and cook it.

so what.. nobody starts playing like a champion straight away. it takes years to mature and become a true champion. nadal has won 7 times french open, because his game is more suitable for clay and he started winning straight away.
today nadal will be relegated to 3rd position.

Don't worry about pressure is on whom, go and play your game. Who knows, you may be lucky this time to end 76 British mens singles trophy drought :). Else, Roger is always there to add to his records ;).
