About Bopanna's success
by shyamprasad on Jul 06, 2012 11:39 AM

I think Bopanna is most underrated player with so much controversy between Peas and Bhupatrhi. He along with Prkash Amritraj are two good prospects for India Our IATA also shouild spend some time and money to develop sme new talent. Congrats Bopanna.

the only way we will win medals in tennis is our players should be allowed to partner foreign players. since this is not allowed the chances are bleak..

10th seeded Bopanna and Jie already lost the QF match to 2nd seeded Mike Bryan and Lisa Raymond of USA in straight sets of 2-6 and 5-7.Its a good achievement for a 10th seeded team.Earlier Bopanna's partner Zheng Jie gave a very tough fight to Serena Williams in ladies singles before losing 6-7,6-2,7-9 in her fourth round match..

The only Indian connection surviving in Wimbledon till now is Leander Paes and Elena Vesnina. They defeated yesterday Max Miriyani and Victoria Azarenka of Belarus 7-6,6-3. They will face unseeded pair of Paul_Hanley (Australia) and Alla_Kudryavsteva(Russia) in the QF match. If Paes and Vesnina wins the QF match, then they are likely to face to seeded Bob Bryan and Liezel Huber in the semifinals.

It is sad that we have to give an update rather than rediff doing it. Why can't they be little more alert and quick. They could atleast remove the outdated articles.
