Ole Ole Espaniola!

Indeed Spain rides the footballing world like a colossus! All talk of boring football was consigned to the flames ... and How....
looking at the final match....
In a Final like the Euro 2012 it all boils down to strategy, tactics, team compositions and execution of all these put together.
Spain had experienced the Italian game in their group league match, found that possession football is something two can play at and Italy are a good defensive side. in that league game Italy neutralised Xavi, Iniesta and Silva very effectively.
Spain tightened up the midfield, attacked from the word go ( usually the goal scored first leads to victory more often than not)and did not hesitate to defend stoutly. the goals of Silva and Alba were resultants of this tactics.
While Italians forgot their main strength is defending and crowding out attackers!!!
they got carried away by their victory over Germany, whose defenders Hummel, Stuber, Boeteng et al are relatively inexperienced and could be easily beaten. But Alonso, Ramos, Busket et all are too tough and seasoned!
Iker did make a couple of good saves, but any shot from outside the box has only 2% success as experinec has shown! also, Italians though good ball passers, did not exhibit the same control and intensity to retain possession. I have seen 10 men teams win after being a few goals down also. but Italians were well beaten yesterday evening by spain...
Esapnia Ole Ole !!!!

We can remain awake night after night to see Spain play football in the manner they r doing it now..Spain has reaffirmed the fact that football is a beautiful game. And kudos to the coach fpr making the superstars gel as a unit which they failed to do before 2008 . Credit should also go to aragaones for giving them the much awaited first major title after 44 yrs when they won euro 2008 after they won it in 1964 . This proves that once u have the self belief earlier goof ups or failures can be forgotten very quickly over a span of four five yrs..now everybody talking abt spain winning 2014 world cup and only xavi is 33 yrs age none of them are over thirty .. they will play the same unit in brazil....and biggest plus is the fact that they r keeping clean chits in knock out games ... many people believe they have not yet beaten brazil and argentina in world cups yet ..but seeing the way they play against physically and tactically adept european giants , they would win hands down against south american opponents as they would give them even more space..dont forget south american giants have struggled to beat other european heavyweights like france and germany ...forget abt going to that stage of the tournament to meet spain...other teams can only pray of spains quality deteriorating .. else they would always be second favourites...spain also have made winning a habit keeping their favourite tag attached to them .. they play quite freely and seem to njoy their play so much...

I am sure he ill relish the win after the loss in Wimbledon. Infact for people like me half the seen of wimbledon is lost with Nadal's exit. Hope he will come as a stronger person for Olympics.

Guess, only person who needs some life and humility is u. chill buddy! Nadal perhaps might get some succour out of fact that his countrymen won the major soccer title and yes we noted your strong opinion about nadal and your love for federer which u showered without even asking!
