Novak owns Nadal
by deshbhakt on Jan 30, 2012 04:50 AM  | Hide replies

Novak Djokovic owns Rafael Nadal and has his number, just as Nadal owns Federer and has his number and Federer owns Novak Djokovic's number. Tennis is fun.

you are right mate! But Nadal will be known for his wins on Clay as most of his GS have come from there! 6 at clay and 4 others! Fedex and DJ are better as they are doing equally well on all courts! Federer has played 5-6 finals at clay! how many Nadal has played on other courts?

How many have Roger Won with a equally good player... not many.. i guess 02..But Nadal has won all the grandslams in presence of Federer.. So the competition is now with everyone.. All are very good players.. Look when roger made his debut he could not win granslams because there were great players than and once they got retired, he started to win and the competition got uneven.. but than came the man.. Rafa.. who made him cry.. you know the result right... Both DJ and Roger has the advantage of their services.. and Rafa's Serves i dont have to tell you guys, but still he wins.. thats amazing... Roger will never win when there are challenges around...

First of all, Congrats to Nole and Nadal for an unforgettable epic match and congrats to Nole for winning and hard luck to Rafa. As for the childish comments that are made by babies who know nothing about tennis facts, How can you compare a guy at his 30 who has won 16 grand slams and done everything that someone could do in tennis to other players who are still to reach any of his records and are still in their mid twenties? You cannot compare 30 to 25 in terms of age in tennis. Want to compare, put Fedex at his prime against any other player of the current era at his prime example (Nole &/or Nadal) and see what happens. Fedex will wipe out the whole entire tennis planet with them. Lets just enjoy the phenomenal level of tennis we are witnessing now days and cheer a phenom who at the age of 30 is still producing phenomenal tennis, reaching semi finals of grand slams, winning ATP 1000 masters, and ATP master finals tournament. Just watch and enjoy and don't abuse any tennis player just cause he is not your favorite, They all deserve our respect and love.

I think you dont have knowledge of tennis... Roger is not injured... he is fit.. but the problem for him is that he faces real challenge now.. in his prime time even he could not win against great players.. his competition were the likes of Nalbadian,Roddick,Marat Safin,he won his first GS defeating Mark Philippoussis( who is he??)he only defeated Pete in semi finals.. thats it.. he lost to Marat Safin at AO in the finals.. there were no real competition.. it took him 4 years to win a GS after making his debut.. Rafa defeated him on his debut itself.. so you call Roger Champion for defeating not so good players.. Rafa, DJ and Murray have more wins on them.. so the real competition is now.. last couple of years.. where he is not winning at all. he is not winning from the time he was 28th... that phase of Roger was without good players... So he his lucky.. in his prime time Rafa defeated Roger evrytime... so who is great now...??

My Dear, read my entire comment carefully before commenting on it. I did not say that Roger was injured. Where did you come up with that argument from? Second, Please stop with the lame excuse of Fedex winning most of his titles over a weak and not so competitive era or players. To me a tennis player is a great player of he makes it to the ATP tour and becomes a pro. If you are going to compare someones greatness by the quality of competition he faces then 95% of the great players of all sports are not so great after all. To be able to win 16 Grand Slam Titles and various ATP masters and Finals against all types of players on all type of surfaces is sheer phenomenon and no one can take that away from Fedex. One more thing also, to have tennis fans talk about Fedex and compare him to their favorites who are at their mid twenties (Nole & Nadal) and he is 30 years old says a lot about him and his sheer greatness. people still talk about the greats of old times until now (Sampras, Agassi, Laver, Becker, Borj, etc..) if though there records have been broken long time ago because they gave us all what we always wanted as tennis fans, Entertainment, Entertainment, Entertainment... So lets just enjoy and not take away credit from any player past or present...;o)

even at the age of 30 , he can crush the nole/nadal's in indoor carpet courts....the reason he is loosing to most players these days is due to his single handed back hand.....but I enjoy Federer's BH more than these double handed BH's...

had Federer/nadal/djko played in late 90's in grass, hard courts , then he would have beaten them mercilessly ...

Great final
by Michael on Jan 29, 2012 09:24 PM

Novak has improved tremendously in the last couple of years. Being always in the shadows of Nadal and Federer, he is now truly in the lime light. Nadal had his chances and equally djokovic missed lots of chances, but just found the effort to finish off the match.

like it or not nadal has career slam... i agree federer is just not for cmparision .... but please stop such nonsense .... now as per ur theory of 7 losses ... schumacher wont b great either as now not a single win after comeback ???...its NOT...he is champ...

hence each player be its fedex or djoko or rafa ....all are great ....

schumaer does not compete on on one though it's an individual race....

even in the great rivalry of Lin Dan & Lee Woi in badmintion, no one defeats the other 7 consecutive times......

y i say this coz dopeal(nadal) fans keep on insisting head-2head record as the parameter for judging the best player...

When his physical strength was giving way, his spiritual strength came to his rescue, this Djovic. One of the best tennis final that I have ever witnessed.
