100% correct...only one sports person of India deserves Bharat Ratna , i.e, ONE & ONLY MAJOR DHYANCHAND...
also it can be considered for KD JADAV,A Bindra, V Anand...
When he sacrificed the pawns to Topalev in Game 12 I was so nervous but when the diagonal bishop force took Topalevs Queen - it was magnificent. Or that exchange of 8 or so pieces with Kramnik where at the end came the sting of death with a pawn!
He is truly the master of Sacrifice.

Now any Tom Deek and Harry will be nominated for Bharatratna..
he is india's no. 1 sportsperson. In indian chess, there are 2 eras... before Anand and after Anand era. he have won many world championships, world cups, oscars etc. Because of Anand, now we have world champions in each age groups, and both genders in chess... not only in India, but in entire Asia no one had think of dominating chess before Anand. And, above all .. he is most humble and down to earth person.
he has single handedly bought india laurels since so many years now.. with least appreciation and rewards team game players can not be compared to him even though they are great because there is always some contribution of team in their success v anand is true global champion for india competed at the highest level of the sport
