Subrata Roy done it again..
by pankajkumar atta on Mar 01, 2012 11:21 PM

The Sahara leader, Subrata Roy has shown, how much he love our country. Once he supported Indian Cricket and still he. Now he is supporting other sports too. Other business house should think once too, if they want only to make money by using the game like Cricket when it is developed and popularised. Those mean business people knows only to accumulate black money and stack them at forign countries.

Sandip Singh gt more thn 145000 $$
by ASenguta on Feb 29, 2012 09:44 AM  | Hide replies

The brilliant performance of Sandeep Singh has helped him to win more then 145000 USD or 6.5 million INR..Hope this will help him to concentrate more on the sports and practise even harder w/o having any monetory worries.

Those days have gone where you first get success in sports and then earn money..Sports is a physical game , requires toooo much effort and playing/completing in International level where 100 othr countries are playing requires lot of mental and phyical strenth, skill. When a person has taken any sports as career and playing for a country, he should get suffienct money to lead a decent , comfortable life ..In indian standard each national level hockey player should be paid more then 25-30 lakhs as a minimum payment and depending on success they shoudl earn more. Only this will help them to concentrate on the game with full satisfaction w/o any monetory concerns. Irrespective of the hockey teams results against top/above avg. european or latin american teams, they are still a force to reckon with in asia and has won several tiltes in asia in last 5 yrs among all the hyoe that hockey team doesnt play well beating developed countries like south korea, japan china where players get much better faciity, meet basic comforts of life easily.. Irrespective of the quality of opponents in the pre-olympic qualifier, its a great thing that Indians have won convincingly and hope they can learn thir mistaks, improve weakness further and aim for a better result.

The lesser monitory worry the playets have after playing in a national team, the more they will be able to work hard in the game. and develop themselves..

Where exactly is France and Italy ranked in hockey?
by nisha thoas on Feb 29, 2012 09:23 AM  | Hide replies

Some people are celebrating as if we won the world cup, but take a look at the countries we beat: Italy, France??!! Those countries football is a religion, and certain other ball sports and tennis, and hockey is something played by a minority. Just like baseball is in India!! Its similar to India beating Holland or at the max, bangladesh in cricket. But do we go overboard when we beat minnows in cricket? Its only when genuine sporting achievements like the world cup win 2011 come by, do we genuinely celebrated. Celebrating SAFF cup, victories over minnows is what exactly has made hockey mediocre in India, whereas in cricket we have a winning record vs Aussies, SA, SL who have been the tough teams last decade. Let the hockey team first do something at the olympics or world cup, to start showering them with adulation

I think ur talking like a big idiot.. this shows the lak of knowledge u have..idiots like you can only discourage others..cricket is a lazy game and is played in very few countries and the ones who are developed among them doesnt even bother abt the game..Even Aussies are hardly bothered even if their team wins world cup..Hockey on the other hand requires much speed, skill, stamina where 100 other countries are playing the same and is much more compertive..read my other post and u will know why the players need courage eventhough they have won against minnows of hockey..At least they have won against players from developed countries who get much better facilities..even today many indian hockey players come from very poort and lower middleclass famlies and goes through hardship which players from many other countries can never imagine..Anyways, over here I see many so called IT guys from Satyam who work for peanuts( 600000-70000AUD/yr) in US/Aus and are very happy with tht...this kind of u being from same place I dnt expect much intellignce frm u either..

a lot has chnaged since 1983 when world was totally different in fnancial aspects....In todays world one needs to have monetory satisfction,, get basic necessities and a decent comfortable life when ur are playing a sport at national and international level..Any national hockey player should earn atleast 70000-80000 USD at minimum and then should earn more depending upon performance..
