Man...the federation dealt him a bad hand, he came back with a WORLD RECORD in NOV 2011. INDIA is the only country that keeps a current world record holder out of team. Politic in politics, not in sports. Suckers- selection committee
Hi Few important facts this article misses! He himself went at the cost of then better placed 18 year old Ranjan Sodhi, at times of Athens. Two, Author has chosen not to speak at all about the current shooters who are going. Nor are we informed about his score card, which apparantly is the selection policy. I dont understand why he says that a policy based on scorecards is flawed. If we think he should go because he won a silver two olympics back then that is a separate story. dont agree with the comment, that ppl who have won a medal only can win medals, by this logic he could have been denied Athens seat himself. Also dont agree that he fought against all odds, all olympions do, he on the other hand has facilities provided by Indian Army to start with. But he is a medal winner and we salute him for that!!!

Very well said Jatinder.........Winning a medal once doesnot give u a lifetime license to represent ur country even if u r not doing wel.......The other shooters are doing much better than him at present........we should send the best possible team for the olympics........a team not based on past reputations.........
We are given hope by the media , Visionary Laeders from National Congress and also from BJP and other parties are emerging. why cannot we see reaction from such upcomming leader for such news items.

Me thinks... he has moved on. And he is certainly not begging. Rediff needed to put in an article. They did.
Selections for all games in India should henceforth be done by Courts. A lawyer representing each player will present the case and the judges will decide.
