It is sad that Claudius is no more.Has been a skillful player in his days.Winning three olympics gold at the olympics is not any mean acheivment- and bravo- Claudius was part of the three teams.With no TV those days, I still remember the joy he gave us when we heard the commentary on AIR on his splendid moves and tackles on the field.May his soul rest in peace

Thanks for sharing your memories. I really appreciate your comments and paying tribute to a player that most of the people don’t even remember or realize the contributions he made to the game of hockey.

He was such a nice man. he was our coach during my school days. Also, he led India to a silver medal at the Rome Olympics in 1960 not Tokyo. India won Gold in Tokyo.
