ur logic is flawed.india is no match for the europeans at the moment and we are not going to get there by simply changeing coaches.there will have to be a systemic change bot in the style of play and the coaching of young players at the grassroots.this will take a minimum of 5-7 years.Hockey india and nobbs are on the right track.indian coaches will employ techniques that will not help...so please shove it!

Nobbs' salary is only 4 lakh rupees a month. I think he has performed quite well, in qualifying for London and now again by finishing 4th. He is passionate and works hard. We Indians having a habit of talking in hyperbole...using words like 'useless' very easily. Please shove it.

Most older people, particularly who are able to keep comfortable with the achievements and don't mind being low profile, are habitual of using many unusual words like idoit, Pagal, Non sense, duffer, silly. So, let every one take the same as casual ...

The young team fought well & can turn the winners with continuity. We need to trust the coach who after a long time has produced a team that looked like a unit then individual brilliance in Champions Trophy

Nobbs should first concentrate on Hockey World Cup, 2014, and leave Rio for later. By the way, Rio Olympics will be in 2016 and not 2014. Rediff people sometimes do not check their articles carefully....

Nobbs is on the right track.

With a population of well over a billion people, it will not be difficult to get at least hundred excellent players. But for that we need systems in place. But, unfortunately, systems are lacking in every aspect of Indian life. The crux of the issue is to get systems in place -- that is the key. And to keep politics out of sport.

New Zealand, Australia, Netherlands, Belgium and most other hockey playing nations have no access to manpower as we have. They are as populous as some localities in our cities. So the difference is in -- I repeat- having systems in place.

Once that happens and kids step foot on artificial surfaces from school, it won't be long before we register a podium finish. The talent is there without a doubt. It has to be harnessed.

GOOD POINT.most indians just talk thru their backsides and want an indian coach as if we havent had enough of those! Hockey India and nobbs have the right vision.
