Indian football is it an oxymoron? i wondered for years just like many others but .... truth is its not in some places like Kolkatta and Kerala. Some people mixed this with communism when i was growing up, some people with poverty (given the nature of soccer or football game).

I meant football being so easy to play with 1 ball investment. The passion was always there but never saw Indian team qualify to world cup (read qualify not win) in my life time yet.
last nite i slept at 3 am after watching green street hooligans. its about football club gangs in london and their rivalries. this morning i wake up and read this news.. never knew india also had this..

Yes they are. But in the world of ajmal kasab, bin laden, afzal guru, hafeez sayed etc, this wont be even qualified as a crime.
& indians not allowed to comment on this story. what rediff called violence, it cant be called violence, rediff should understand, what happend in Azad maidan in mumbai, thats called violence. Todays incident cant be level as violence. But redf will do that, bcz after all this is a negative news on bengali/bengal...
