And you ask, why hockey is no more popular in India...........
by asliSwadeshi on Dec 09, 2012 09:26 PM

Even though, the Indian Cricket team has hit rock bottom and then gone on to dig another 50 miles, but still Indian public refuses to patronize Hockey!
For a considerable amount of time, I thought that this was because of the lack of monetary support for the game...
But, how long could the pretense of 'no money, so no trophies' hold up??

The Indian Hockey team perhaps hit a purple patch in 2002-03, when Jugraj Singh converted almost all penalty corners and others played well around him; but after Jugraj's car accident, there has been no full recovery for both Jugraj (who wasn't able to continue playing hockey afterwards) and the Indian Hockey.

The worst part was when India failed to qualify for the 2008 Olympics and finished last in the 2012 version, losing every match...

So until the Hockey team gives the public a reason to cherish its play, the Indian public would stick to Cricket, or perhaps start following something like Badminton where atleast some Indians are doing well...

Reunification of India and Pak, what do you think?
by Pen diamond on Dec 09, 2012 09:12 PM

The press council head of India, Mr Markendey says that reunification of INdia and Pak is the only solution to the Kashmir Problem.

He claims this rift was created by the British and we are scapegoats to this scheming.

What do you all think about this?
