Very geniune question. Unless he beat tough opponents, GOLD canno tbe possible. Don't blame draw. Think about your strengths. GOLD can definitely be achieveable.
Olympics is supposed to be tough only. That's why the stakes are high and when one returns home even with a Bronze medal the State Govts. offer crores of money and houses and lands and all and even corporates pour money and give Ads for these Olympic heros to endorse.
So no point in telling opponents were tough. Olympics is the World's highest sporting arena where only the very best and tough competition is supposed to be seen. Every athlete trains and tries his level best to put up a great fight and win medal. If we try for more medals in 2016, all other countries including the smaller countries will not simply sit and eat icecream. They will also train and fight more harder to improve their medal tally and their records. So we have to work that much more harder in 2016 to improve by same magnitude as these nations to be able to compete and win medals.
Real winners are hardworkers they can face any opponent success depends only on how you work hard if you loss don't point finger towards opponent by saying he was very tough.
rediffmail pl edit the title as it hurts the spirit of sportsmanship. A Champion to win Gold medal needs to defeat on and all. The draw should not matter.Anyways we appriciate the efforts and the medal.
Go to youtube and search "Yogeshwar training for Olympics" - you will see who he is, how he trains, check his physique and get a first hand idea of how much effort and dedication goes in to win an Olympic medal in wrestling.

Those who follow wrestling knows how tough the sport is and how difficult it is to compete against the Russians, Iranians, Georgians, Ajerbajians and Japanese. You belong to this elite group. I was not sure if you will be able to win against Isamael from Iran as he is very promising athelete and competes till the last breadth but you showed exemplary courage, skills and confidence to pull through four matches in a short duration with a bruise in your eye from the very first match to win a medal. Sometimes I feel winning a bronze in wrestling is tougher than a silver or old as you get some rest in between. So congratulations again, you are the best.
