Congratulations to Indian contingent for bringing home 6 medals. I am still not out of my anguish for not winning a gold medal that was so near to our reach on at least 2 disciplines. Like me, the entire Indian population is unhappy! The corrupt governing system is the root cause of everything. What happened to Kalmadi after he looted CWG funds? The country needs a person of will power to take sports to a new height. He should not be politician and should stay away from dirty politicised governing system, thinking only of Indian sports! He should remain with with sportspersons by motivating and making them committed to their job. Will it ever happen in India?
The comments by Mr. Sameer Naik are exactly on the mark, and he is the only progressive patriot. India's performances in the recent Commonwealth Games have been phenomenal in terms of progress (38 gold and 101 total medals). Six medals highlights a good progress in the London Olympic Games. In many events, Indians narrowly missed medals. The evidence is clear that in the immediate future, India will become a leading contender if sufficient resources, facilities and coaching are provided. In cricket and chess, Indians have won world championships when some money has been allocated. The United States and Britain spend enormous money on chess, and where are they in comparison with India? The Eastern Block and European Union countries also outspend India by several orders of magnitude, and where are they in producing good Grand Masters today, and in producing a World Champion? Let us not criticize Indians when Westerners and Eastern Europeans have drawn a blank in several fields even though they had burnt a lot of money.

When will India sign off like London did ?. They are only signing off with Bronze and Silver medals and are happy with them....S*H*A*M*E utter S*H*A*M*E...None of the countries even made a mention of the Indian medal count in their Newspapers and the Indian Newspapers are full of news saying that its the best medal haul we got...Its time our guys woke up and realized what other nations think of us and the kind of respect they have to us...

Britain can afford to do all these glittering ceremonies and throw money around as they eant since they have looted trillions and trillions of dollars from us for many decades or centuries,right,folks???and one billion looted morrrons are in deep sleep too, what a Farce!
