It is equivalent to gold..

We know that non cricketers are treated like dirt in India (they do not even get proper diet) and despite this these guys do their very best.
It is as good as gold and it is a great achievement for a small town person.

You proved that you are a real fighter.
Now we should focus on only individual games such as athletics, swimming, cycling etc., rather than team events (hockey). Then only we can get more medals.
British PM said "no Indian dance, play sports" to his British people. In fact, it is a very good decision.
Similarly whether our PM will ask "no British's laziest cricket, play other games" to our Indian citizens?
I wonder whether this will happen?

Cricket was invented by the Englishmen for standing in the sun in their cold country to get a tan and warm their bodies.
Nobody except the people in the Indian sub-continent take cricket seriously.

Indians are contented to live like the frog in the well with their pseudo-democracy or dynastocracy.

Soniaji,amul baby zindabad.

India's strengths :

1.Lazy cricket(played by 10 countries).

2.Bollywood-song,dance and dishum dishum - no story.

3.Corruption.

"Rise and Rise until Lambs become Lions" - you have a lion heart and never-say-die attitiude. You made us Indians very proud. You are the star of Indian wrestling and should inspire every Indian to uphold country's strength.

3 wins a one go in repechase.Salute you man ! And that crocodile style rolling against the north korean was a treat to watch.
3rd Indian to win olympic medal in wrestling....

In SAI preparation camp, rotten fruit and vegetables were served. Now,the administrators should feel ashamed.

Congrats wrestlers who performed brilliantly,(even Narsing_or Amit) compared to their much fancied compatriots in the disciplines like tennis, hockey and archery...

What I observed is only those dreaming for an olympic medal passionately could win a medal.Further, these atheletes thoroughly focused on their training.A zeal to win a medal for self and the country...Be it Mary Kom,Vijay,Saina,Gagan or you.Only with such great determination ,one can achieve olympic glory.

We had much improvement in badminton, atheletics(atleast Gowda,Poonia,Irfan could get position within top 10),shooting .. good enough, even Joydeep finished closed 4th and we doubled our medal collection compared to Beijing. It was hard luck for Bindra and Joydeep inspite of great effort.
And boxing could have been better but for initial descrimination in judgement against Sumit and Vikas demoralized our boxers.

Well,we can be some more greedy today.Sushil will be aiming for a better performance. He must be charged up.Can we hope for the all elusive gold ? Or atleast a silver ? Can he become the only Indian to win 2 medals in 2 olympics ? After all,Sushil is our olympic flag bearer.A man of few words...

possibly india's best medal
by mala roy on Aug 12, 2012 07:00 AM

at london 2012,india has so far won 1 silver and 4 bronzes, out of which the silver by vijay kumar and this bronze by yogeshwar deserves the first place.saina's bronze came under fortuitous circumstances and gagan and mary were expected to get golds. well done vijay and yogeshwar, specially the latter as he had to fight 3 bouts in 1 hour to secure a bronze, shows his tremendous mental and physical strength.
