Lost Only Because of Being A Vegetarian
by Tribal Planet on Aug 12, 2012 11:44 PM  | Hide replies

Indian athlets performed miserably because:

1. Most of the players seemed to look like as if they were suffering from mulnutrition.
2. Indians had no stamina to stand up & fight strongly.
3. Foods fed to the athletes were of very low quality and did not help players.

Tribal Planet, if you are specifically referring to athletic events, I agree that the physical strength required in track and field events is of a different magnitude, which Indians in general lack.
But in events like Boxing, Shooting, wrestling, neither were athletes suffering from malnutrition, nor was it a strength issue.
Not sure how many athletes are veg, to my knowledge many athletes may be non veg as well.
Agree with you on low quality food

susheel is a vegetarian though he is a jat. Read this today in Yahoo Inida news. I am not against non-vegetarian food. I am pure vegetatian, but I never found a non vegetarian friend of me to be stronger than me. I proved myself as the stongest in a cental govt orgainzation, where there were 100 collegues in my plant.I never ate meat, fish, and egg. Plese belive me 100%.

my stamina was also great. Now I am 63 I ran for 5 miles continuously a few days before though slowly. So plese do not be in your foolish imaginations that we can not have stamina if we eat vegetarian. HOwever I am not suggetsing all to be vergetarians. I am only telling to people like TRIBAL pLANET not to be in their foolish illusions and myths.
