good morning, wakey wakey
by aparna bhardwaj on Aug 12, 2012 11:18 PM

it is amusing to see Gold winners being offered 1 crore - thats it, then sort of wash yr hands off. Gold means the BEST in the Oly world. 1 out of soooo many. but what abt the others, and life and diet and living expenses and a home, before and after? extreme discipline is reqd for training. that too from an early age. so a policy shud be established to give a boost to our athletes. automatic honorary para rank or freedom fighter benefits, state and central awards. life time medical at military hospitals. Republic Day citations similar to and after the medal awards. to name a few.
and please dont treat them in cattle class. charity begins at home. respect will go a long way. all this will get India her many Bolts.

We fielded weak teams
by ddpd on Aug 12, 2012 08:41 PM

We fielded our weak players. We have better team back at home. Have u seen bodies of John, Sanju,Khan. They have 6-8 packs. They alone can win 25 medals a piece and give complex to likes of Bolt,Phelps. its just for details they do run around trees. Btw the names are John Abraham,Sanjay dutt, The 3 Khans. Even heroines have athletic bodies Bipasha, Sunny, Kareena. But they wont swim. They would just flaunt body and make the above 6 pack wrestlers run around them / trees :)

So long as they make money and become the richest board, why should our PM bother. In anycase, he doesn't do anything worth.

Training, training and training... They set their bar and cross and cross again.. and again. That is their standard. Usain Bolt... crossed all...
He was fit only 60% about a 3 weeks ago... now on track... 150%... that is his determination.

Olympics Performance
by varadarajulu a on Aug 12, 2012 10:18 AM  | Hide replies

Africans are known for their good performance as Sprinters. But what is heartening is that Bolt winning the three Gold Medals in Running events. Most of the African children go to school by running some times even 20 kms due to poverty. So the sprinters have long practice naturally. Similarly, Chinese players, especially gymnasts are identified in the childhood and given rigorous training sometimes using even physical punishment when they err. Most of the winners from USA are African-Americans due to their genetic inheretince. May be the same thing holds good for Indians also as most of genes of the selected players are filled with corruption and nepotism which is the primary criterion. Unless the sports are games are made free of corruption, India has to satisfy with Silver and Bronze only. A counntry like Hungary, whose size is hardly of the size of a medium sized district in our country could win 12 gold medals with the dedication of their players. Unfortunately, we lack such dedication and hardwork. Surprisingly, only the innocent people are more worried and concerned and pray for India to get medals whereas most of the players are very casual.

Jamaica is not part of Africa. Get your geography corrected before giving expert comments.

If you had said "Hungary, whose size is hardly that of a medium sized state in our country", it might have been appropriate.

Check the area of Hungary. There is a subtle difference between 'a little exaggeration' and 'wholescale ignorance that prompts big exaggerations'!
