Because we are after earning our livelihood. As kids we strive to be doctors & engineers ... what our parents wanted us .... to live a decent life . They struggled to have it . So sports or even physical fitness are not in our agenda.
Study, study and study only . Even these medals came from some intensive camps with dedicated people . If these are set in other cities with necessary infrastructure , I am sure we can be in the top of the medal tables competing with china & Us

Every indian should ask this question themselves rather than asking someone else. Once we shall get answer we can get more medals.

New Zealand won all medals in off-beat sports like rowing, sailing and canoe-sprint. Here people dont get water to drink so where will they do canoe-sprint. Hehehe

BTW - we win far more medals than NZ in CWG , because we cannot go to Olympics to compete there.

refreeing and judges decision in london 2012 has been atrocious
by vilas apte on Aug 11, 2012 07:53 PM

refreeing and judges decision in london 2012 has been atrocious. most of the time asian, african, and latin american athletes had to suffer.whethet in boxing, cycling, diving, wrestling etc it was seen that anglo-saxon countries usa, great britain, and australia were favoured.india, china, south korea, iran, russia, and brazil suffered.amongst the asian nations only japan got the favours as its appeal in the men's gymnastics was upheld and its 4th position was converted to 2nd. the refreeing and judges decision in beijing 2008,sydney 2000 was excellent.

I will not blame our boxers for this. The crooked_west demoralized our boxers at the initial stage by snatching victory from Sumit Sangwan and Vikas Krishan. This type of judgement is a dhabba_blot in the face of olympics.

India is a country of 1.2 billion population. It is important for Boxing Association to promote the sports in the country for their benefit. But,by cheating_in results, they have really harmed the process of expansion of the sport in the Indian subcontinent.

Indian male boxers deserved atleast 2 medals and I have no issues with their performance.Good job boys.

I Don't know whether it was a deliberate attempt to prevent Indian boxers from winning medals or plain bad luck but you are right. India could have won atleast 2 to 3 more medals in boxing. i am also proud of the Indian boxers.

Yeah - even yesterday the Irish boxer landed more boxers than the British, yet the British boxer won.
