Oh by the way you can milk IPL until the age of 40 years, that's not possible with sprint.

Not easy.. may be impossible..!

BLake is a great Athlete, no need for him to think of Cricket now. No idea if he is acknowledged as national level cricket player in his own country.
Its not jus speed which matters in this game..

t20
by Ajai Jacob on Aug 10, 2012 10:50 PM  | Hide replies

T20 is acceptable as an interesting format. But true blue cricket fans say that t20 is a batsman's game and that only test cricket is real cricket.

To understand that you need to know cricket & be mature enough to accept every sport has its own speciality. Nobody will dub you a 'critic' when you talk nonsense.

Professional athletes for IPL
by Jay on Aug 10, 2012 10:32 PM

IPL should allow runners (afterall ICC can be arm-twisted by BCCI for change of rule) who can run for all the lazy runners! So even Imzamam will be having hope to make it to IPL! And Ganguly may play till 50!

blake seeing IPL as money tree and not his love or hobby.
after olympic he culdnt find any best source of income other than IPL and moreover efforts and taining required in winning medal in olympics are too much.

If ever u had played cricket u would understand, you would suffer more with by-runner when u are not injured.
And what's the use u have some one at this end who runs 100m in 10 sec, whereas its not so from the other end.
And in cricket, who don't get pistol-shot to take ur run.. :)

Finally, Cricket is not just about running fast...

A PIECE OF INFORMATION
by akash agrawal on Aug 10, 2012 08:33 PM  | Hide replies

I am not at all surprised reading this article. When his fellow countrymen are already making LOADS of the money in IPL,its quite obvious for others to lure at the oppurtunity.
Also,IOC has recognized Cricket as a sport in the year 2010 and ICC is going to bid for its inclusion in 2020 Olympics.[T20 in 2020!!]

For the people who say that Cricket is the laziest and a waste of time etc.I agree with their thoughts on TESTS and ODI.But lets accept that technically,T20 is a great and interesting format which never has a dull moment and is as fascinating as other games are.
Even if you watch football for longer durations, without a goal being scored,it seems boring,in the same way as there isn't a run scored for say 2-3 overs.
T20 is already a big hit and will compel other nations to play this format in future.

why cricket is appearing as laziest game... do u have any other sport which is played this long i a match..
in tests and one-dayers, u don't get chance to relax in between.. whereas in case of others, with due respect, u play the game for few minutes or max couple of hours, the match is over. And no need to start immediately.
No need to dub Cricket, its features are unique..
