Its known fact in boxing that...professionals do not participate...its only amateus who are allowed to participate...if professionals were allowed..I bet ..No indian will even qualify...all the strong blacks in USA prefer professional boxing to earn money... and hardly comes in amateur boxing!amatuer boxing is specefically kept in olympics so that underprivilged nations liks india, cuba can participate...Pls know all facts when you comment!

This is no excuse...

Most great boxers play Olympics and then turn pro... Ali himself played olympics before turning pro...

There are always pluses and minuses. Important fact is that US boxers are not up to the mark even after getting multiple chances.

How come professionals from tennis, athletics, basketball are allowed in Olympics ? Olympics are no longer reserved for amateurs.

Yaa...you got a valid point. Olympics is more of a stage for boxers from various countries to participate and win, whereas proefessional boxing is a merit-based do-or-die battlefield. Same is the case with Football, Basketball, Voleyball etc.

You are right sir,
It's quite visible "favoour" to Opponents of Indian Boxer...lastly..in case of Vijender, despite heavy punches on opponent, he was not awarded points-where it should be.
shame on AIBA authorities.
