We dont realize that Silver is far superior as compared to bronze. Our minds are so influenced with media where an individual becomes more important than the event / result. This guy, VK did everything right, put up a great effort to silver from nowhere. Still most of us are just congraulating those who were just a shadow of thier best at the olympics. Can never understand what mkes people popular, true talent or a PR?

As per the Constitution of India, the population which is less than the 10% of the total is considered as a Minority. Muslims are never less than 15%.. so they were/are/never will be a minority.

Will you keep shut. There is no MINORITY in India. It is all political game. Are they not provided whatver they want. Dont they have school, hospital facilcities. Just because thier popu;ation is small they need not be minorities. At any point of time some caste/religion will have lesser poulation and more more higher. Stop ALL these dramas
You have made us Proud and we are all happy for your achievement. But today after reading your comments aboout quitting Army if your demands are not met has really made me feel sad. You should be grateful to the Indian Army for providing the necessary platform to meet your training needs. Boy ..keep the focus on your sport instead of thinking about getting into business venture from the money given by Haryana govt. and others.
Hope you will continue with your success and will not bring a bad name to the Army.

I agree that one must never forget from where one has come from. But asking for better facilities by people like VK.....fully justified. One should always look for a better tomorrow and not sit on the past laurels.
the only reason behind his coming out with flying colors amidst all other much hyped non-performers was the fact that this man, unlike other attention-seekers,was socko in keeping the media at bay and didn't count chickens before they were hatched. This man would go long way as it appears he is hacving his pate screwed on the right way.

There is a dearth of heroes in this country....especially in sports. Media just runs after them when one happens to come around. In the process sometimes the affected person is not able to handle the public glare and loses track of what more he wants to achieve in future.

Both are valuable assets to the country. But naturally, Saina being a girl, media focus on her was greater. No issues here.

Though I really appreciate and thanks Vijay for bringing glory to India, but you need to understand that a bronze in badminton is actually superior than a medal in shooting. Reason: Badminton is a much more popular sport and with fierce competition.

Sri Lankans are a better economy than us, and are not too much into sports like us.
Pakistan , unknown to many are a champion Olympic nation. The have won the gold , silver and bronze in Harassment_Of_Women. They also did a clean sweep in the Banana_Republic category. Plus they are the reining world champions and holder of the Olympic records as the Best_terrorist_nation_on_Earth. I heard they in close contest with Columbia in the Best_Route_traffic_In_drugs category too. In the Market_bombing category and Domestic_terrorism front too they are leading medal s contender. But Pakistan will forever be remembered for Stupidest_Brutalest_Male_Chauvanist category. No Olympic saga is complete without mentioning the glorious pastimes of the Pakistani Olympic spirit, where for the last 40 years ISI has swept clean all the medals. Hail Pakistan, the greatedt Olympic nation.
