she is true champ is badminton considering the chinese domination... it'll take one in century (considering Indian sports history) to have champion of Saina Nehwal's calibre...
Giving all the credit to Saina and her team that built her up for this phenomenal success, we must put a halt to all her detractors who want nothing less than Gold from her. We must be realistic, in the knowledge that she was World No 4 at the time, behind three Chinese top three players. Though she had beaten some of them earlier, she had also lost to them. As for her bronze victory, we must also not take away credit. Badminton is a game which is not won by the player who has won the first game or who is leading at a certain stage. It is won by the player who wins the LAST point! And Saina with her tremensous stamina had by then completely worn down her opponent. So, it is not correct that she won just because of injury to her opponent. Also, all the Chinese were afraid of her, and her only. Also remember that it was the Chinese 4th ranked player who finally defeated the No2 and No1 in these Olympics. Congrats Saina.

Hope you have seen the first set till last. She was down 9-15 at one time and 15-20 in the last part of first set. She came back from there to 18-20. She was playing to her opponent's backhand continuously. The result was that the Chinese girl was injured. Full credit to Saina for her play and strategy. She would have definitely won the second and thrid had the match continued. Analyse the game and comment please.

It depend on the importance of different events based on popularity. Shooting is a less important event compared to badminton.Athletics is the most important of all in olympics. In athletics,100m race is the most important.

If popularity is the key, then we should have cricketers on the homepage everyday. I don't think that is correct.
It is not just Gopi Chand and Kashyap but the whole of India is basking in Saina's Bronze. Saina finally manages to breach the Chinese wall and now it is for Gopi & co. to come up with couple of Kasyaps and couple of more Sainas to demolish the China wall in the next 4-=5 yrs to next Olympics in Rio. Although Saina would have liked to win the medal playing the full match but nothing can be taken away from her single minded devotion and hard work fully deserving the medal. Compared to the day before she looked quite resolute and composed making her save four match points pulling back from 20--14 to 20--18.The chinese girl on the other hand was looking more and more tired , gasping for breathe, tying shoelaces …….then came that unexpected moment of anti-climax. It seemed Saina's determined resurgence sent the Chinese crashing out depriving everybody what was developing into a hard fought close game. Any way the end result was Saina got her bronze she richly deserved. This win might make Saina now fearless of Chinese in future and she is expected to meet the Chinese challenge much better. “Saina vs. China” picture abhi baaki hai. Lot of credit also goes to her coach Gopi Chand and his academy. Finally, P Kashyap also deserves all kudos for the brave fight he put up against the top seed. Needed is a small army of Sainas and Kashyaps to take on the Chinese Army.
Sir Gopichand and team. Our family, state & country felt & enjoy, the spirit, love & affection you have for India. I always say Gopichand is only true Indian legends talks for country pround

He is real gentleman he is so true Indian After winning all england championship he got one very famous cold drink ad offer but he refused to do because he found cold drink is not good for health.
Some Indians are still jealous that a country woman got a medal.Thats why we are still a third world nation.
All super powers try by hook or crook to win medal. But if our person gets one medal, all good for nothing people who have not even gone to a play ground start posting anti_national comments.

Actually less then 1% Indians follow sports and more then 90% do not know follow badminton so they do not know about Saina some knows because of Media now a days that is also for some time. they can not digest that she can win any medal it shows the integrity of many Indians instead of appreciate they are jealous just because they can not do anything themselves.

Such are the circumstances in our country that we don't know what is sports, science, technology etc but will definitely know all filthy politicians n leaders. This is all thanks due to the politicians n leaders themselves who from time immemorial have striven to keep the masses, uneducated, unemployed, divided, socially undeveloped by keeping them preoccupied with casteism, reservation etc.
