Andy Murray demolishes Roger Federer
by Varadarajan Ravindran on Aug 07, 2012 02:24 AM

The scores of 6-2, 6-1, 6-4 suggest that Andy Murray clinically demolished Roger Federer, and we are happy to see a different winner in the London Olympics. People like Federer are money-making machines, and will play well only when there is a lot of money involved. They are as useless as our Sachin Tendulkar when they play for their country. In any case, hats off to the great Andy Murray of Great Britain.

That's the question which comes up in every person's mind, given the way things have been going on at various London Olympic events.

NOW ROGER HAS A GOLD AND SILVER MEDAL TO HIS LEGENDARY CAREER
by HUSSAIN MITHANI on Aug 06, 2012 01:00 PM  | Hide replies

after federer's marathon win in the semi's, it was expected that federer would be tired and it showed. He is 31 after all. I was surprised he actually won the semis against Delpotro considering federer's age. The semifinal was actually the final for Roger Federer. He just did not have enough left in him for final.
Federer already had the GOLD MEDAL and now he has a SILVER MEDAL to go along with it.
Congrats to Murray, he finally won against federer after losing to him grandslams in previous meetings. He played amazing and he is coming on his own now. Murray will finally win a GRANDSLAM and who knows it could be the US OPEN. Murray is now peaking at the right time, doing the right things to win a GRANDSLAM. He had to go through Novak and Federer to win the Gold Medal and he did it in straight sets.
Also, Delpotro won again Djovokic. That was a surprising result but I am happy for Delpotro since he was so devasted after losing to federer in the semis. Congrats to him to winning a medal for his country. He is slowly climbing up back to where he was when he won a GRANDSLAM.
ROGER FEDERER will remain NO.1. Novak has alot of points to defend, so federer can easily remain and surpass 300 weeks at the top. The longer he stays at NO.1, the harder it will be for current and upcoming tennis players to beat another record of ROGER FEDERER. HE IS THE KING OF TENNIS.

I think Federer was tired due to his marathon match against Del Potro.
