Women's boxing is a new event for the Olympics and it is heartening to find that we already have a star in Mary Kom for the event! Go Mary, go ! India badly needs a few sporting icons !

u r on sick mental case...this is not for you..this is suppose to be congrats and good luck blog for MAry Kom...
Congrats Mary Kom for a superlative performance. But I feel sorry for her opponent who is World No.5 and bronze medalists in the World Championships. Of the many controversial and wrong things that have occurred in boxing in these Olympics, this is another one. How can the AIBA schedule these two medal contenders and highly rated opponents to face each other in the first round. One medal contendor out in the first round. This is ridiculous.

What is wrong in this schedule. U have to know th rule. A 3rd seeded player fought with an unseeded one. Mary Kom is an unseeded player. her 5 wins in world championship is for 46 kg category. As this is not an Olympic event. She got qualified in 51 kg category. She is not a world champion in this kg category.
