Saina vs China
by French Cuisine on Aug 05, 2012 09:52 AM  | Hide replies

Rediff - please dont block my blog.

Saina - you have made us proud through your ambition and hard work. Indians need some of it.

What I want to say is this - Indian sports machine has not produced anything of significance. The great achievers (Anand, Lee, Saina, Sushil) have attained through individual efforts. Several steps need to be taken to correct the rot. And that includes a complete review and reschuffling of the sports organizers. For any Oly planning needs to start 8 years prior to the event.

agree with u. when they achieve some thing the respective sports body claim all the credit. The agony is , all sports body is headed by either Polciticians or beaurocrates who take up this psoition to enjoy free trips.

Great comments.Best efforts have to be taken to scout talent so that our country is represented in at least 90 percent of the Olympic disciplines.

Saina V/S China

It was truly a Saina v/s China matches rather than India v/s China. Saina had 3 very tough and formidable Chinese players and indeed a very difficult task for her. But still she stood up to their challenge somehow and reached a level where no Indian women badminton player has reached so far. Well done Saina and don't be discouraged if you didn't win gold. You are still young and with the London Olympics experience, you will surely win us a gold in Rio in 2016 !

Some may say she was lucky. The scores of second set moving from 14-20 to 18-20 reflects her fighting spirit. You deserve this and better luck next time.

You still have made India proud, where many others have presented only disappointment. We all know your true fighting spirit, you will definitely win the deserving Gold Medal in the next Olympics....we would all pray for that.
