This is the only way that the majority of the Indian competitors can win a medal. It is better to lose than win a medal this way. What a terrible shame.

This is a far better achievement than winning the 'world cup' in a game played by 10 countries on home soil(cricket).

Being fit to play the game till the end is equally important. If opponent defaulted it is not Saina's fault. This happens in sports.
See the power of Indian prayers and pujas.The Chinese twisted her knee when it mattered thus gifting poor India a bronze. After all,they got the silver and gold.This shows the large heartedness of the Chinese unlike the Americans.

I am simply making fun at pujas.I also don't believe in such nonsense but most Indians do.It is sheer hardwork of Saina that got rewarded.

Wang_Xin meighy have won the 1 set, but the margin is less. Saina has played well when compared to yesterday.If you remember quarterfinal entry of saina she has pulled the second set in the lost and won the match. We can not say it is purely luck ,but keeping fit for the match is also part of game preparation.

Afterall a fluke win. First set lost. First game of second lost. But for the injury the chinese may have easily won. what is there to congratulate?

Well the face off record between Saina and Wang_Xin is 3-4 and Saina and Li_Xuerui is 2-4.And Li_Xuerui won the gold today.And Li_was included by China dropping Wang_Shixian.

Balaji,Pl.understand onething.In life one cannot manage everthing.If saina is better in sports,you may be better in software or audit or MBA positions which saina can never dream of.So nothing to criticise shivkumar as what he has expressed is correct.

A set lost in best of 3 is does not mean loss in any way. Try to understand that! The game is not lost until the last point is won. You might have lost a big bet on India's loss and so we can understand your feelings! Buy some burnol and relax!
What is this rediff - why are you blocking my messages. Saina was playing below her potential - and she got very lucky. Well done Saina and my congratulations.
