AITA SCORES A PERFECT ZERO IN THE OLYMPICS !
by damodaran mohan on Aug 05, 2012 04:44 PM

So, as expected AITA with little help from the central ministers manages to score a perfect ZERO in the Olympics ! In fact the entire nation was shocked to see AITA getting dictated succumbing to whims of indisciplined lots like Mahesh Bhupati. Besides raising the level of stink and controversies , everyone else were convinced that AITA was sending totally ineffective 3 doubles teams with negligible chance of winning any medal. They were not exactly teams in National interest but teams to serve their individual monetary benefits. Now that all that messy affair is over people would like to know what disciplinary action AITA is going to take against likes of recalcitrant Mahesh Bhupati who have sullied national pride. His conduct is simply deplorable spoiling youngsters. Best thing will be to dissolve AITA body itself as also to phase out the seniors from Davis Cup whose intrusive dads appear to behave worse than the chaperoning mothers of the Bollywood starlets. Even otherwise Davis cup team certainly needs infusion of young blood.

Since she is married to Shoaib Malik ( MANHOOS ) she has lost her image and game. There were many lucky indians to get tie. But she is the biggest foolish in the world

I am losing respect for olympics. It seems lots of fixing in different events and our atheletes are getting victimised.

Sometimes,its the draw or groupings
Sometimes,its points and results

Not only tennis,in other events also ..

You see,why Saina must face Wang_Yihan,the No.1 in Semifinal, why Kashyap comes up against world no.2 ?

If you look at the draws, some lower performers are conveniently moving up to the medal round.

Why Paes_Sania face top seed in quarters ?

The boxer who defeated Shiva Thapa is now going to win gold. Why such a tough draw for him in first round.

Why Jwala-Ashwini appeal not upheld ? How can those defeated by them move to finals and win medals ?

How Sumit_Sangwan's appeal was thrashed?

Why Joydeep_Karmakar just become fourth ? How is it decided ?

How can a winner Vikash_Krishan is later declared loser ?

In most sports,Indians may have been getting victimised and it creates loss of trust on olympics.

It looks 4-5 medals have been lost which could have been of India by now...

Absolutely right om shanti this all looks a plan against ours and other countries who try to became a challenge to them.
Our Shangwan's plea was terminated while American boxer against Vikash bout is reviewed and later decision reversed.
We should wake up and our authorities should protect these with bold voice with the help of media.
Your analysis is very correct and questionable.

It is not just the Indian Olympic Association that has complained about schedules, draws, etc. The Olympic sports bodies of numerous other countries (including those of the two leading the medals table - China and the US) have also been complaining a lot.

Such complaints (regarding draws, schedules, timings, referee decisions, etc.) have always been integral accompaniments of every Olympics, especially in the past four decades when the pressure to deliver has mounted very high.

No Olympics, however well it is organised and executed, can be free of this littany of complaints. In terms of the complaints affecting the medal prospects of countries, there is a general levelling out in the end.

India has held the Asian Games twice and the Commonwealth Games more often. Please check the records (they are available online in reports) how large the number of complaints were at each of these events.

But the problem is of double standard,if India complains,it is rejected and if USA complains, then it is accepted.

Dont go just by the decisions!

Read about the reasons they give for those decisions!

And watch the matches to find out how valid those decisions are!

It not that all complaints should be accepted and favourable decisions 'distributed' to the different countries!

Actually we cannot raise doubt in case of badminton and tennis as there is nothing wrong Saina facing top seed in semis as at some stage she has to face top players. Kashyap is ranked much lower to top players hence there is nothing wrong with him facing top seed in quarters. But Paes Sania getting such low seeding was quiet surprising. There is politics against indian boxers by western countries as indian boxers are excelling in past few years. Some countries like USA, Japan wants to always remain on top by cheating. But it will not work always as China has already toppled them from top spot. India will progress after every olympics and may make headway in the metal tally. America is no.1 cheater in sports. Even China is more honest in sports than USA. China has broken USA dadagiri with performance. We also have to do that by improving our performance in next olympics and leave no chance for arbritration. India has still chance to improve their tally of previous olympics as Saina, Vijender, Krishna Punia, Paes Mirza, are still in contention. Today we can expect medal from saina as she is expected to crush her opponent in bronze medal match. Paes Mirza are capable to turn table around against Mirnyi-Azarenka as they have done it in past and there is no importance to seeding in mixed doubles as mixed doubles is not played regularly and any pair can do anything in tournament. Sushilkumar is also top condender for medal. Let's expect great performance from them.

Your assumption on Saina - Olympics rank 4 - facing Wang_Yihan - Olympics rank 1 - is not correct.

For semi-finals in general, Rank 1 faces 4 and Rank 2 faces 3. In badminton, all top 4 ranked players qualified for semis.

Saina, 4 played Wang_Yihan 1.
Li 3 played Wang_Xin 2 but here the rank 2 was defeated.

Nothing wrong with the format.

Lower ranked Kashyap upset some higher ranked player and he was in the same group of rank 1. Nothing wrong here too, just that Kashyap was expected to lose earlier as per his ranking.

What about Jwala_Ashwini? Normally they should be thru because although points are same, they defeated one of the pair in group match.

Let us say, Team A is Taipei, Team B is Japan and Team C is Jwala_Ashwini.

In this case, Team A beat Team B, Team B beat Team C and Team C beat Team A.

It came to point differential.
Team A 21 (won/lost 164/143)
Team B 4 (130/126)
Jwala_Ashwini 3 (138/135)

If J_A had given 1 lesser point (138/134), they would have been through on higher points won.

J_A had a chance when they led 10-1 in the 3rd set.
