Saina v Sania
by anand ganesh on Aug 05, 2012 12:06 PM  | Hide replies

The striking contrast between the two exposed. Saina went to London to win a medal. Sania went there on a pleasure trip with her mom on Government expense. Shame on Sania and her mom. Shame on UPA Government's minority appeasement politics.

Paes is the culprit
by Aslam Ansari on Aug 05, 2012 09:33 AM  | Hide replies

Paes's fascination for (playing with) Sania cost the country badly. Had Sania played with Mahesh Bhupati, the country would have definitely got a medal in tennis.

Sania is the only winner here

Sania played the sport with true sportsman spirit for the beloved country when others were busy with infighting. Sania has made us proud many times and we are proud of Sania Mirza for her services rendered to the nation.

This is what happens when there is no collective thought and preparation. Who will get us gold now?

Much ado about nothing...

All that fighting before Olympics and really nothing to show for it.

It is probably easier to win doubles/mixed doubles tournament in Grand Slam events than in Olympics because in Grand slam events all the top seeds are too busy competing for Singles title.
One can argue that not all great singles player make a great doubles player but they usually are good double players and good players are good enough to beat India who always seem to be fighting with each other.
Another argument could be that they really lost to good doubles players but these are all excuses all of Indian tennis camp are self centered mediocre bunch.

Even in real life we Indians are too busy fighting each other whether its Marathis, Bengalis, Tamil, Punjabi or Hindi.

Just play your hearts out at sports. We are a nation of Billion people and better than a few medals at Olympics.
