There is nothing to be proud of, she lost previous match and this match too almost lost, chinese player deserves this medal. had saina refused this medal she would have made the country more proud.
This is definitely a great achievement. Though you lost this game doesn't make you any lesser than a champion of the nation and made the nation proud. And good performances like this will obviously seed good motivation to the future generation. Good luck for bronze medal.
the time we see chinese korean japanese or malaysian we give up from the very first set, i think indians need psychologist before game start. otherwise saina and kashyap are promising player had they been given counselling before game they would have demolish chinese and malaysian.

Well said, when we see chinese, koreans, japanese or malaysians as our opponents, we give up very easily, she is over exaggerated and over rated player.

overrated?? A girl who reached the semi's of olympic competition is overrated? Are you sure, you know the meaning of the term 'overrated'.
It is really great to see u play. The other 3 finalists has been selected with YOU as the main criteria. Knowing The Worlds largest country has concentrated on you itself has made us very proud. Good luck and prayers for the BRONZE
Why on earth we are sending our sportsmen to olympics when they know very well that they are far inferior to the best in the business ? It is total waste of public money. India should send a very small team of sportsmen who are very close to the top level or should not send a team at all. It is insulting to go with a big team of 800-1000 people and come back with one bronze or no medal when an athlete like phelps wins 8 golds with ease. Even before the game starts he knows that he will win 8 and we know that we will win nothing.

India does not spend any money on sports training or building infrastructure. How many of us have seen a swimming pool or tennis court ? We can not compare ourselves to developed countries. The medals India won are mostly individual efforts by the player and their families. Maybe its slowly changing but we should be happy that atleast the team size is growing bigger.

I am happy that so many Indian athletes qualifies for participating the the olympics. Its easy to sit and write comments .. if you feel so much, do something like support someone from your village or our school to train in some sport. Don't just post discouraging comments.

wel participation is more important than winning. 205 countries are participating in this event. today India is ranked at 30th Position. At least we can know our limitations and we can work on them.
