small small countries have one gold medals and many silver and bronze medals but India has only two medals despite we claim to be top 5 developing countries sports results shows how much develop you are. almost every next person is dirt in sports ministry like other departments. India Mange Gold free mein mil raha hai kaya? shame on entire nation even after 65 long years we are worst worst and worst.

sorry state of affairs of Indian sports
by ROBY STEPHEN on Aug 03, 2012 12:07 AM  | Hide replies

I told a friend of mine, a wish of mine, that I want to die after seeing India overtake our neighbour China in terms of Olympic Gold medals in any one olympics and my friend remarked that I will Live Forever. Though a funny answer, but it points to the pathetic state of sports management in our country where we cannot imagine even, about such a state as my wish . Hope some miracle comes to this country of ours that changes the sorry state of affairs . Till then we can rue our missed chances of losing opportunities after opportunities of going up in the world but satisfied with pulling the legs of each other .

True but you also have to think about facilities for many of the sports. It is certainly disheartening to see that the second most populous country cannot produce good athletes due to red tapism politics and lack of opportunities

i understand your concern however miracles don't happen just like that, you gotta create the base platforms for them to happen. let alone china, little asian countries are also ahead of us in the medal tally.

hey guys now children are carrying more luggage of books than their weights, all are busy in their carriers which parents can support more for sports rather than studies
