How come Michael Phelps winning so many golds. He must be surely using some masked drugs or energy boosters.Or else Its impossible for Phelps to win so frequently.

Clear bias against the Eastern nations.
by srikant Iyer on Aug 04, 2012 05:53 PM

I think the Americans are finding it difficult to digest the Success of China and even India in sports. This is evident from their activities. They're simply adamant on complimenting this girl on her success, but instead critisising her.

People who talk great about China are just like the Narender Modi fans.
The means are just as important as the end.
The doubles fiasco ,it is sad that only the player got all the blame when it is obvious she would have only followed her coach's instructions.

ENTER THE DRAGON

In beijing 2008,China topped the gold medals tally(51) against usa(36), then the western and indian media commented that it is because of home advantage.Just prior to the start of london 2012, the same set of media predicted that since the chinese are on foreign soil, their gold medal tally will diminish by at least 40-50%, thereby projecting a figure of around 27-28 golds and the usa tally to go up to 43- 45 golds. Moreover china would slip to third place behind usa and russia(28-30 golds).

However after the first 6 days of london 2012, china is leading on foreign soil with 17 golds followed by usa with 13. I wish western media specially bbc and our dear indian media to stop such biased commenting and reporting. Pages were written on the rivalry between lochte and phelps but there was no mention of sun yang and ye shiwen who both won breaking olympic records and even a world record.Frankly speaking it all leaves a stink of jealousy.

But then how can anybody accept the mind-boggling success of a country governed by the 'outdated' communist philosophy? It is unthinkable. All the so-called 'democratic' and capitalistic countries should rally together to control the 'chinese communist beast'.Otherwise the world is in danger of being swallowed by the red dragon !!!

I support two teams in olympic. One is China and the other is India. One is at the top and the other is at the bottom, haha !

China has a systematic way to produce olympic champions. It spends $ 70 billion annualy on health and sports.Sports is considered as part of health.

Malnutritional_death and infant_death rates are low in China.

Just like how we have subjects like hindi_urdu_sanskrit,etc in school,in China,it is compulsory for every student to take one sports in school. If any student excels_in the sports,he is shortlisted and groomed to become world champion.

It is really amazing how china is wondefully managing its 1.3 billion population. We just have one outdated_comment about lack of freedom of speech in China. But the truth is that in China also now a days people openly protest government things and also there are many critical comments in their local_blogs and websites_against establishment.China is maturing gradually in political sphere also and it is much more tolerant than it was in the 80s.But our views about China is still stuck in the 80s.

I admire the chinese for their patriotism and committment to make their country a superpower. In fact it is a very wise nation.China has not wasted any money on wars like the west.Today it is a cash surplus country and works as the global bank with huge cash reserve.

It is not far when China will be no.1 nation in the world. We should take good points from them and improve our country.

This is either Jwala Gutta's father (who's married a chinese woman) or her sister.Funny it has nothing more to say on the over-rated and boisterous Jwala Gutta anymore after her pathetic performance at the games.Jwala should go back to playing politics with Azhar and leave badminton to talented people like Saina.

In China you are allowed only one child and as a result there is high incidence of female infanticide its disgusting. In 2007, there were at least 17 million children aged 0-17 that were orphans in China majority being girls.Girls are abandoned by divorced parents because they want to have more children with their new spouses.China's is an example of modern day slavery where the majority have to slog it out on minimal wages and extended working hours while the elite intellectual class live indulgent fashionable westernized lives

Veda, you are still in the 80's.What you say about female infanticide is true, but, about slavery is wrong.
The scenario you described is in India. Here the majority have to slog it out on minimal wages and extended working hours while the ruling class live indulgent fashionable westernized lives.

First of all, your assumption of one child policy is outdated.China is not static,it has dynamic policy.Depending on population density, several provinces have allowed to have 2 children already.

Further, one can have 2 children also. But one has to maintain a gap of several years between the two kids and a fine has to be paid.Your information is of the 80s.

I have been associated with China for near a decade due to my business association and what you are talking about may be in some rural areas.I donot think it happens in the cities.Similar things happen in India also.We also witness flesh_trading,selling of women and female_foeticide.

So far wage is concerned,it is much higher compared to India. In India,PF contribution by employer is 12% of basic salary. Its 45% in China and is called social insurance.

In most places,China has 2 days weekend.Saturday and Sunday. You cannot find an employee on weekend, they will in all chances not respond to your phone. They enjoy the weekend with families.

So far slavery is concerned, the are slaves of their nation. But we are slaves of Gandhi_family.

In China people donot shit_on the streets. They have sufficient public toilets. It is a neat and clean country.

So,no point digging_at faults of China. It will be good if we get inspired by their good things and improve our nation.Criticizing others is the easiest escape root, hard work is not that easy...

Please read "PF contribution by employer is 12% of basic salary in INDIA wheras its 45% of basic salary in China and is called social insurance.

Petrol price is cheaper in China compared to India.Price inflation is at 4-5% max.

And pl read : Escape ROUTE and not root...

I am writing this again here because we are very good at fault finding and rather than trying to understand the content, people will start finding fault in my comment. We deserve olympic gold medal in Olympic Fault Finding event..

Slaves of Gandhi family ? hahaha what utter nonsense. It is because of Sonia Gandhi only that there has been social changes in India with redistribution of income which for years had been grabbed and monopolised by upper caste hindus.Because of schemes like NREGA and reservation the dalits are finally beginning to live like humans and not like the wretches the upper caste hindus had forced them to be.You want to follow china so much so lets give up religion and caste; are you willing to do that ? give up your religion and your caste name ?

Forcing people to have a limited number of children is barbaric .It will be mind boggling to try to comprehend the number of abortions such a regressive policy has lead to in such a populous country like China. Are you a supporter of murdering children ? What happens if a family doesnt have the money to pay the fine ? they will have to either abort the child or give it up for adoption. If China is so great why are millions immigrating to USA Australia and other western countries?

Great assessment.
China managed to reduce poverty drastically over the years. Now they have only 100 million poor.ie.More than 90% of its people are above poverty line.
