LOOPHOLE IN RULES
by digant pathak on Aug 02, 2012 04:20 PM

The rules of the badminton competition are more to be blamed than the players. There are faults with the rules because it allows player to underperform but still win medal for their nation. It cannot be granted that players would always play to their potential all the time.

Mr. Sai Krishna.. There is big big difference between match fixing in cricket and this badminton issue.. They wanted to lose on purpose to avoid playing against their own country player in the knockout stage.. each team wanted both gold and silver coming for their own country..

Games badminton row: IOC could act against China players
by Typhoid Mary on Aug 02, 2012 01:56 PM

it's oh-so unfortunate that even a sacred sporting extravanganza of the ilk of OLYMPIC, hasn't been spared by sportspersons. This brazen sandbagging is unpalatable and those who have indulge in such mug's game should face lifetime ban in all other competitions as well.

not only our scoundrels but also government officials who can show on record road laying, dam construction and relief work even without spending a pie. Read the story below:
Forest officer to ministry we need a traveller bungalow in the forest. Sanctioned. No building. Officer shifted. Next officer shocked to see no building but amount debited. He wrote to ministry the traveller bungalow is no shamble and needs urgent repair. Sanctioned. He also got transferred. Next officer astonised to see double spending without any construction. He wrote to ministry, since the building in sesmic zone prone to earthquake. To be demolished considering the safety of people. Ministry agreed. Building demolished. Total money involved Rs.2.7 crores. No building, no repair and no demolition. This is how government functions in our country.
