A tribute to Pep

I am feeling very sad due to the departure of Guardiola from Barcelona. I always admired Spanish football and Barcelona, but under Guardiola they touched a height that was unprecedented. I am a mad fan of Barca and watch them play whenever I had a chance. The significance of Guardiola era is that he is quite young and had conceived probably the most beautiful ideas in the game in recent times. Barcelona Football team also catered to the Spanish national team that made Spain the world champions. Under him they played the beautiful game and football fans around the world acknowledged unequivocally that Barca is the best team in the world. The results indicate that strongly. In addition the host of the stars were the product of the club's youth program which is an achievement by itself since top teams have to depend on international star power. Everyone admired their game, watched in astonishment and enjoyed their brilliance on pitch. This is the end of an era - I will always remember the thrashing they handed the other teams, Man Utd crashed in CL final, and the large number of times they mesmerised Madrid. Simply awesome! The only criticism I have is that Pep's ploy was a bit too Messi-centric. Will be looking forward to what they do next. Bon Voyage Pep, I wish you luck and Bonjour a tous.

BTW - if you are visiting Europe please do visit Barcelona, it is an amazing city.
