i watched the entire match and was disappointed that the better side could not make it to the finals. chelsea were completely at sea, and were defending almost whole of the match. Barca had so many chances to score, but ball either hit the woodwork or just missed the net.
Anyways there is always the next time and I hope Barca learn from their mistakes and I am sure with the talent at their disposal they will come roaring to win Champions League next year... I hope they meet Chelsea at some point during next year's CL and take that as a revenge game.
One of the most amazing matches I've seen. We held out with 10 men and no centre halves. What a moment when Torres rounded Valdes to score. Really proud of the team.
As for those moaning about the tactics, you play to win, no prizes for looking pretty. Chelsea played to their strengths. Barca had no plan B and Pep was tactically clueless.
A sad day for football, indeed. For a team like Chelsea, with the type of football they are playing to be in the Champions League final. Roman will have to take a call whether he needs a Chelsea side playing attractive football or a side that gives results, as it doesnt seem that he can get both together. I say, give Di Matteo a year extension and see if he can acheive both.
