rafa

roger is a high quality player... see he was a point from beating the ultimate winner. fed need not have to sweat. he has so much improvisations in his shot making.
nadal runs his game on physique. hewas outgunned by the physically better shaped JOKO.
NADAL has yet to win season ending ATP tour championship even once. that is a tournament every tennis playerwants to have in their profile along side grand slams. roger, like sampras, has won that ATP championship 5 times.
other greats backer, edberg, lendl, agassi, backer, mcenroe, borg all have won that important tournament.

yet people go high on rafa.
federer is of different level altogether.

With hard work, perseverance and not giving up, you can achieve a lot even if you are not gifted by birth, that's what Rafa stands for. That's the message majority in this world need.

A point away? That loser could not close out the match when he had two match points. And he could not win tournaments when there are real opponents. As someone earlier said, Federer is like Michael Jackson, nothing but a child molestor.

Get over Federer fans, Roger is done forever. Btw, you should feel happy that Federer did not defeat Djokovic. Otherwise, Rafa could have eaten away Federer in the final and extended his number of slams to 11.

Year end ATP finals, those are three setter matches. Thanks, Rafa does not need to win that to prove that he is a great player, which he already is.

Haha. You sound jealous. Ironic that in the stadium Rafa fans were one of the saddest when Roger lost.
Rafa had better watch out for Novak catching his records. That man can beat him on clay also.

Early warning signs for Nadal. His tennis is on the decline
by HUSSAIN MITHANI on Sep 14, 2011 07:55 AM  | Hide replies

Nadal's has been making promises to become better to beat djovokic after every single match he has lost to Novak. But there is no improvement whatsoever. All he did in the US open final was to run Novak more and more so he could tire him out but Nadal himself got tired. Novak used him like ping pong ball thrashing him like some unseeded player. Nadal is not getting any younger. His level of play has dropped this year and early signs of his decline are there for everyone to see. Its not just with his matches with Novak. Player like John Isner took nadal to five sets in the first round of french open. That has never happened before. Roger Federer who is past his prime, gave Nadal a tough final at the French open. He almost beat Nadal. He has been beaten and given a hard time in early round matches of many tournaments by unseeded players. This is not the same Nadal from last year. With his mysterious injuries constantly coming and going all throughout the year, there is no chance for Nadal to get any better. He depends alot on physical play and each passing year, all aspects of his game will decline. This is only the beginning. The end is coming for Nadal.

Novak defeated Rafa in four sets in US Open final and you say Novak used Rafa like ping pong.

Rafa defeated Roger in four sets in French Open final and you say Roger gave Rafa a tough time and almost beat Nadal.

You stopped showing up with your other ID. Btw, Roger is done and dusted, get over it.

Nadal is only human.
by aishwarya patil on Sep 13, 2011 05:51 PM  | Hide replies

Nadal played his Tennis like a machine chasing and returning everything for the last 6 years. In the process, he raise the game to such a level that all others seemed ordinary mortals. Djokovic has now raised the bar higher, and Nadal is the first man to accept it. Though the results clearly demonstrate it, but Federer wouldn't ever admit that Nadal has some kind of hold over Federer, and that Nadal had raised the bar for Federer to meet it. Nadal, like a true champion has accepted both the facts, and is ready to work hard to regain the no.1 position which he had earned by the sweat of his brow, unlike Roger Federer, who was simply born with a lot of talent.
Federer with his talent, always remains a part of the equation. That he finds himself more comfortable against Djokovic than against Nadal is a mystery for the experts to solve, but despite the fact that nobody believes he can ever regain the no.1 spot, he continues to be a part of the equation.

Its not a mystery. If you happen to watch tennis and know the technical stuff behind, you will know exactly why Roger plays better against Novak, but can't handle Nadal and why Nadal can't handle Novak but is very comfortable against Roger.

Oh, Nole is in Nadal's head. Did you see the final ? Ever see Nadal get so frustrated ? 6 times in a row he has lost. He broke Roger's record of losing 5 times in a row.

Yeah..thats the reason why Federer was one point away from beating Djokovic and Nadal lost 6-2,6-4 and 6-1 against him....5 breaks difference

You are nothing but a moron

Congrats to Djokovic
by Nishant Varma on Sep 13, 2011 04:56 PM

Congrats to Novak but ofcourse he was a tad lucky vs Federer - Somehow Federer didn'y play well after the first 2 sets . He dominated the game completely in first 2 sets . And he survived a 40-15 2 match points vs Federer !

funny, nadal will never come close to fedex
by wizardo id on Sep 13, 2011 04:30 PM  | Hide replies

nadal thought that when he 'd defeat fedex, his era would be over and nadal's would begin. but best laid plans are dashed with a new gun outgunning nadal! winning as much as sampras is as far as fedex could go.

How do you know what rafa thought? But it is true, it will become increasingly difficult for Rafa to match fed's record of 16 Majors.

If he were walking in Roger's shoes, he would have take djokovic to 5 sets at least.....Djokovic played a good level but Rafa was very scratchy.....He was broken like a million times...i dont think thats a good game if you think about it

Nadal is, i m word less
by aftab alam on Sep 13, 2011 04:27 PM

Look at the way he talks and hw simply he is accepting his defeat.
He has been truely beaten aalmost thrashed by Nova, at time Nova was toying with Nadal but showing where he belongs too.
My cha, pion will come back and will come back for sure, he does nt gifted quality likes of Fed and Nova but has the right attitude towards the game to win it.
He has won already 10 majors and he reached 3 major finals in a year even when nt at his best.
Nova currently looks impossible to play but one thng in favour of other players is Nova cant improve any further and bound to go down and Nadal can only improve.
Way to go Nadal.
